Because of the sudden change drop of the price and sometimes sudden increase, Bitcoin payments are affected in the microsoft company. There is no exact amount of the Bitcoin payment and microsoft would lost a lot of money if that happens.
Bitcoin has not stability in it and there are many problems going on crypto currencies that's why Microsoft will take an action like this but bitcoins was not affect by this changes.

There are many reasons why they have stopped accepting bitcoin for their services.
[1] Transaction fees - it was when it was that bitcoin transactions fees are zero (or at least near to zero), now that the price of bitcoin is 10-20k the transaction fees become very expensive too, nobody is interested to pay 50-100+ USD on fees, we know their product prices.
