The shilling and ETH pumping is getting ridiculous on this forum and they will do anything to make ETH look good and Bitcoin look bad. Microsoft has been jumping from on thing to the next for months

and they can support what they want. If Bitcoin becomes the de facto currency, they will not have a choice other than accepting it and they will dump ETH like it was a rabbit dog. They are looking for

a currency they can manipulate and people they can manipulate to do what they want. It's all about control... and they have zero control over Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is now pushed as a settlement system and not anymore as a p2p money, what did you expect?

Bitcoin was meant to be p2p money. Satoshi said that it can overtake visa in transaction volume. Where did you get this settlement thing? From Blockstream and core propaganda?

This is more like Microsoft's loss in long term.
I could understand if they never accepted btc as payment, but once accepted and rejected now (its even more strong now) seems illogical.

I can't believe that Microsoft stop supporting Bitcoin and started to think of ways to use the Blockchain for their own advantage. I deeply hope that they will consider taking in Bitcoin as payment again.

That is how business goes.
Nobody will ever do you a favour just like that, especially of you could be a potential threat.
But don't worry too much.Microsoft accepting Bitcoin or not isn't that much of important.
Let them deal and play with their closed permission stuff.

On its official windows website Microsoft announced that it will no longer accept Bitcoin for payments in their Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile. The existing BitcoinCT r:  8 balances can still be used for payments, though.

...

However, recently, Microsoft’s interest had changed its focus from Bitcoin to Blockchain, the distributed ledger system on which Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are built.

Microsoft is building what it is terming a “certified blockchain marketplace” on its cloud computing platform, Microsoft Azure where the participants will have to undergo rigorous testing.

There are only four other blockchain services in Azure’s template manager, putting BitShares alongside Ethereum, Open Assets, Eris, and BitPay’s Bitcore. IT departments around the world wanting to test out a blockchain deployment for themselves will find these five packages among the easiest to evaluate.

i think it is because they have been supporting a couple of altcoins for a while.

i can't quite remember all the names of the coins (they are at least 4 coins) but you can find them in altcoin section, i can tell you one thing though it is not ETH.
