Can anyone help with using Minera with a Moonlander2 USB stick and a Pi 3b? I know how to get Minera on the Pi and access it via it's IP on my computer, but is it just plug and play or are there additional steps after that?

I guess I need to "just copy the bfgminer to the minera custom folder.. it needs to be renamed to bfgminer-futurebit2" - can someone give me kind of a step-by-step of what to type in to do that?

cant cloudflare wont let me post the commands so i will send you a pm.
ugh cloudflare wont even let me pm you :/

sorry. i dunno

Minera 0.9.0 is out!

I'm really happy to announce the latest version of Minera which now definitely supports the Antminer S9 / L3+ / D3!
Just boot up your Antminer and add them as network miner, remember to select the correct type in the settings.

Changelog:

* Added support for Antminer S9 / L3+ / D3
* Bugs fixed
* Manual install should work now

To update from web you need at least Minera 0.8.0.

Otherwise download the latest image and flash it in your SD Card: https://getminera.com/download/latest

ANNOUNCE: READ BITMAIN L3+ OWNER!

Thanks to a really good and smart guy I have my hands on a L3+ and I can confirm Minera will support it very soon! Stay tuned!

UPDATE:

Minera is ready to support L3+!

Before I will release the new official version (probably 0.9.0) you could try it updating the git code:

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
sudo git fetch --all && sudo git reset --hard origin/master

Of course you MUST have a 0.8.x version to update.

HashWare - Mining solutions for everyone!
Hi.

can someone guide me on skype for a few minutes and help me with configuring minera on one bitmain asic for a small tip?

What kind of Bitmain ASIC? Probably is not supported.

L3+ or S9?

L3+ isn't supported yet, while S9 requires to run cgminer instead default miner (not covered by Minera)

oh crap. thanks for the info. would you suggest any other freeware that can do that and potentially for a large quantity of miners with  a nice interface?

I'm trying the simplest thing in the world: running 1 gekkoscience 2pac on a Raspberry pi.  I have it hooked up to a good powered USB hub, and have installed minera to the pi.  I see it on my router, and entered the address into my browser.  So far, so good, it takes me to hte minera page.  I've tried to attach it to my miner, slush pool, which is in turn attached to my wallet, and get it running.  As far as I can tell, nothing is connected.  I have some questions.

1) is the mining software itself bundled up into minera?
2) how can I tell that the gekko is actually mining?
3) what else am I missing?
4) are gekkos still even supported?  I know this isn't the path to riches: it's a solar energy project that I'm doing to prove a point.
Sorry for the dim questions.  I'm new to this.

Minera hasn't a built-in miner for Gekko (I'll work on this), if you have the latest image you could find the cgminer-vthoang fork as custom miner in the settings page, you have to use that.
Otherwise you have to compile it as customer miner before using it.

Miner to use: https://github.com/vthoang/cgminer

How to use a custom miner: https://github.com/getminera/minera/wiki/Local-miners#custom-miners

PS @tfbiii thanks.

OK.  I have made some progress.  Thanks to Spencers great tutorial at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQndxAfk-hM, I seem to have the thing compilied and uploaded.  I found the cgminer-vthoang in my minera browser after resetting, which is a TON of progress.  So now I have my gekko in my powered usb hub which is connected to my pi, which is connected to my router.  I am seeing my pools in the dashboard.  The only problem is that I am seeing a "no active devices found" error under Local Miner Details.  The gekko is glowing green, and I've rebooted it a few times. What am I missing now?  Do I have to add the gekko manually?

/SO CLOSE!  ARRG.

Someone suggested me to use dwc_otg.speed=1 into /boot/cmdline.txt
This fixes the RPI USB to be 1.1 and could help finding the devices.
PS you need a reboot

OK, I changed the USB to 1.1, and cycled power to the pi.  No dice.  I'm noticing that when I have this rig running, my browser maxes out my CPU usage, so SOMETHING is going on.  any thoughts?   I can't seem to insert screencaps, but I'm seeing cgmine/vtothang at upper right by a green button, 0H/second pool hashrate, and some nonsense in rejected rates and last share.  I still have "No active local devices found" under local miner details.

Do you have embedded cpu miners in your webpage? Everytime I have your dashboard open etc... loaded in my browser, it uses all my CPU.

Yes, just go to settings page and click button "Stop browser mining". You will get ads back.

so i installed minera on my rpi and now when i go to ip/minera my chrome uses 100% cpu and my pc crashes..

i cant click on settings..

Use a terminal: redis-cli set browser_mining 0

I'm running the fix-missing command now to see.
