Hello,

2 small questions from a noob I use a raspberry pi 3b + with GekkoScience 2PAC 2x BM1384 USB Stick

1: What is the order (s) to update in minera.

2: Minera is usable with minergate, I can connect to it but I remain blocked at 12000 of difficulty.

Thank you in advance for your complaints and help

How do you Uninstall this?

And why is Coinhive trojan/virus inside of it?

Help me uninstall this "open source" lie.

Coinhive is a script to mine with your browser, but many antivirus now classified it as virus (wrong), you can simply disable it from settings and again it's not something that can harm your computer/server/raspberry/etc...

If you are a noob it's not my bad. And yes it's completely open source (no lie) just check the source code and remove what you want...ah no sorry you are a noob... So don't blame me and my software, blame your ignorance.

I seem to be having some problems getting Minera to show my mining stats..  I have 17 antminers (10 - L3+ and 7 - D3)..  In the settings page I was able to add them to the network miners page.. and they all show "Online" in green... but when I pull up the dashboard.. they all show as offline and no stats populate....  Am I missing something?

edit - I should add that all miners have Blissz firmware installed... could this be causing the issue?

Hi there
That IP you wrote about is mine
i wrote couple days ago about this "BUG" to Minera Developer

but he didnt wan to talk about it, just wrote create a new issue on Github

:-)

I don't want to pay anything to get it as you asked for, Minera is an Open Source project, if you wanna contribute for free as I did for all these years you can write down an issue.

Otherwise I will check this by myself when I will have time.

Miners: if you want to be safe don't expose your Minera to the internet, keep it in your LAN only or use a VPN to access it.

Not sure what kind of vuln was found, I've enabled lighttpd .htpasswd on whole /minera directory so there isn't any chance that someone outside would be able to hack it.

Can you send more details about vuln that was found? I could maybe look at CI code and get it fixed...

Anyway, very satisfied with Minera so far, it helps me to track Network Miners using my Pi.

P.S. Your donation button isn't working.

Hey thanks! I know I would get my hands on it but I'm very full. The bug is the very simple authentication but I didn't look at it. Probably you can make calls to change password without the need to be authenticated or something like that.
Of course if you put a web server password this won't happen.

Not sure what happened.

Someone was able to change a number of settings on my minera setup. I was exposing the web port (I know, bad bad), but I had changed the default web password. However, that said, they were still able to change my pool, added their IP to the cgminer API whitelist, as well as changed the web password for minera so I could not log in.

At any rate, where do the failed login attempts get logged to (is there a log file some place)? I'd like to try and setup Fail2Ban, so this hopefully doesn't happen again in the future?

[EDIT]
Some more details, for anyone that cares.

Here is the IP that was added to the whitelist: 93.183.238.234
Here is the Pools they added:

stratum+tcp://scrypt.hk.nicehash.com:3333,3PrTbZQaWJL9b3Uq6vEMgkgLHiZoRWTMmL.152,x
stratum+tcp://litecoinpool.org:3333,newvol.2,1

They also removed those pools (probably after realizing I only have 40 GH/s on a couple of stick miners :-)

They then left my old pools, but changed the usernames to their own BTC addresses to gather the dust I produce.

Probably there is a bug in authentication that's really simple and unchecked because usually Minera stays in private network.
Thanks for feedback I will check something.

I have been running 0.9 for sometime with no problem but now it seems that I am not creating a log file anymore.

logging is on, "log-file": "\/var\/log\/minera\/cgminer-vthoang.log",

but I get a 404 not found when I try to view the log file

http://192.168.1.11/minera/application/logs/cgminer-vthoang.log

any ideas?

Did you check you have space left on disk?

Yes, first thing I checked. Plenty 5gb

This is only for bitcoins right? Because i see no Monero or some other value here?

No this is also for many Altcoins, but they have to use ASIC hardware, no GPU.
