You have to wait for the daemon to finish downloading the blockchains only then will your wallet not throw up errors. And no ours is BCN and is traded here on Polo https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_bcn

The wallet wasn't working because you need to start the daemon and have it sync before the wallet will connect to it.

no mate, BTE Bytecoin is different then BCN Bytecoin.

Yes do take note you can't transfer directly to an exchange wallet. You need a trasaction ID for that and needs to be done from within your wallet. I'm using the original non-GUI wallet by the way.

That's not a BCN wallet address. Your address would be 95 characters. Where are you trying to withdraw to?
