Hello all, wanted to post an update on my case.

So far so good, I got my miners back from them, they even told me they will be "absorbing" the shipping costs for now. So I didn't have to pay anything to get them back. However they have a balance on my account for prepaid hosting & deposit that I haven't received , they told me they will be working on getting back to me as soon as the get some cash from a miner sale they have pending. I will update again then if i get my money back from them.

Sincerely

My story is similar to others here.  Emails from Tom are slow, the rest of the crew must be fired already.  Any new invoices he's asking payment in crypto now, feels fishy. Anyone free their miners from here yet?  Will keep updating as story progresses.  I have miners that were sent there but not started up even.  There is no doubt this will take a long time, and be messy.  And of course, mining profitability is up.
I did receive my S15's and T15's back from them today. So they are at least returning the gear that they are no longer hosting. And my S17's are still running at their backup facility. I have been corresponding with one the techs that I met when I visited there, so they still have some staff. They were busy getting the larger shipments (pallet sized) moved out first.

Good to hear, what did they charge you for shipping them back to you? Hopefully not some insane amount of money that was outside of the regular cost so they make a few bucks for themselves.

I wish that had emailed me when they decided to shut the miners down, I emailed them daily for about a week and didn’t get a reply from them until now.

Just cause I'm curious, had they been running the miners for this time and not paying you out for this? Would be  a pretty quick way for these companies to make a few bucks without you even noticing. Just me being a bit of a pessimist and cynic.

If they do not return the machines or if they try to stiff you, do quote me and I'll link resources on contacting the Attorney for the state of Wyoming and we'll ensure that they're kept reigned in.

Glad I can help.
I don't know if you can really know that, but I do know all my older miners went down around 10 am. I was told by a tech that the power at their main facility was shut off for non payment. I know my current gen stuff was down for about half the day, a couple days prior to that. I was told they were being moved to a new area, and they were back up and running before the end of the day. I didn't think much of it at the time, as they have moved things around before. I have been to their physical location and know they were operating in multiple buildings in the same business park.

Just wanted to follow up and see if there were any updated in regards to the people that I provided (that you found as well) and Oregon Mines? Are they emailing you, calling, answering on any medium? Etc.

Might make some sense to file some reports with the Wyoming DA, and so on and so forth to get more information. Just trying to help out.
I have been receiving email responses from them all along. Not as timely as before, but they have been responding at least daily to me. Their VPN is up for those with miners still hosted. I have access to my current gen miners that are still being hosted at their backup facility.

I noticed my machines were off as well. makes sense now. Anyone have any other hosting sites near the WA/OR area?

Honestly I'm not in the mining scene, though I'm going to guess that electric is pretty cheap in the WA/OR area. But from some looking through the internet, heres's what I've found. Can't vouch for any of these services, but this is it.

I found this one - http://bitcoinasichosting.com/ - on reddit, yet again I stress that I cant vouch for them or anything. Seems like they're based in Washington though.
Here's a site for one where you can get quotes from - https://www.quotecolo.com/bitcoin-mining-colocation/portland/ - Seems like they'll get quotes from a couple sites.

Yet again ya know, you're going to have to look into these sites and companies for yourself. But I did abit of the groundwork.

Thank you for the reply. I came across those as well and have sent them an email inquiring about a cost estimate. Will report back with my findings

Good thing that I came here to browse for a new hosting site for my older machines.

I didn't get the original email either. I only noticed when my pool hashrate dropped, then found out all my s15/t15 machines went offline. Though all my s17's are still hashing away with them. I emailed them and got that message.

I decomissioned all my s9's last year. I'm fortunate that I only live about a 3.5 hour drive from them. I had about 40 machines, so it was way cheaper to pick them up.

Guess I'll have to make another drive soon.

If anyone knows of hosting with similar rates, I would love to hear about it.

Thanks for sharing that email, I just checked my email & spam folder , and I have not received a similar email yet.

I kinda smelled something like that was happening, I wish they would have told me day they took my s9s down what was going on.

I guess I’ll wait until they contact me to figure out how I am going to get my miners back. I just hate the lack of communication.  Since I don’t have next gen miners I guess they just don’t care to reply to emails, phone or voicemails. I’ll keep you guys posted.

I have few miners @ Oregon Mines, they have been mining there for like 4-5 Months with no issues.

last Monday 13th of January 2020, my miners went offline, and haven't come back ever since....I've been emailing them everyday for 5 days, and no answer, tried the phone....no answer.

Anybody here do any business with them? I'm starting to get nervous.
I have been with them since 2017. I received this email from them today.
-----------------
Dear Client,

The last 18 months have been very difficult for cryptocurrency miners and hosting facilities such as Oregon Mines (OM). Many of the miner types that supported our operations (Bitmain L3s for example) are no longer worth hosting and others can only support deeply discounted hosting fees (Bitmain S9s for example).

As a result of substantially reduced hosting fees coupled with debt service created during our 2018 expansions, OM is no longer able to operate its primary facility and will be substantially reducing hosting immediately. We will continue to host a limited amount of current generation equipment in our overflow facility for clients wishing to do so. Current generation includes Avalon 10 Series, Bitmain B7, S17, T17, and Z11 Series, and Innosilicon T2Ts. Use this form to request hosting space for current generation miners: Reservation form.

We are actively seeking a buyer for the primary facility and will update you if a purchaser is found that wishes to continue hosting for third parties. Also the sale opens an potential opportunity for clients who may be interested or know anyone interested in owning a cryptocurrency focused data center.

It is important that clients with older generation miners in our facility, whether hashing or idle, arrange for relocation of the miners. OM will handle packing and shipping with a prepayment of $20 per miner or the equipment may be picked up from our center in The Dalles, Oregon weekdays by appointment.

This is truly a sad day for us. OM began hosting late in 2014 with a view towards being the best provider possible. In retrospect, the high cost of building a climate controlled, interior hosting facility that was well-staffed turned out to be an expensive proposition that proved untenable as hosting fees were pushed down to accommodate reduced mining income.

Thank you for the opportunity to host your miners.

Sincerely,
Terrence and Tom Thurber

It seems Oregonmines has a bad reputation here on the forum before but they also receive some good trust feedback. I don't know if we can still trust this but better wait more days or a week if no response to your email you can start make a new thread in scam accusation to warn others.

Check these threads that I found when searching them on the forum.

After a bit of research, I've come up with the following.

DG Rollins Mining, LLC is a company that was incorporated in Wyoming. It was incorporated in 2014, so it's been around for sometime at this point. The LLC was incorporated, though that doesn't mean that this is a legitimate company -- they could just be using another companies LLC and saying that it is theirs. It seems as if the company is also using agent, so the owners / Presidents information isn't put online, that's something a lot of companies do though so not surprising for this to happen.

The domain was purchased at NameCheap, and they're using the privacy option so the owner of the websites information isn't put online.

I've found a linkedin for the COO that you referenced (https://www.linkedin.com/in/terrencethurber)

What happens when you call the phone number? Is it disconnected or is no-one answering?

IIRC  this company  was accused of being  a company that ran from  Colorado  leaving people  hung out to dry.

If so  maybe they are doing it again.

How much gear is at stake for you?
