Well these ones have a metal plate that the LCD screen would mount to. The first batch ones with a board v4.0 instead of v4.1 did come with an lcd - but they were second hand.

It seems as though these two were part of a later batch - the main backplane even being dated in july 2014. The allegedly not needed green capaciters were never installed. Update: Needed a replacement hash card - contacted MS and they are shipping them out, I just have to send the dead cards back to them. The cards slide out after you undo the screws, it's quick and easy. Additionally since the bulk of the machine is the case, controller, psu, heatsinks and fans, I think there is a strong possibility to upgrade them if someone were to make a hash board that could be slid into the machine.
