Equipment breaks. What IS impressive is BFL's response and how they are handling the situation.

Good to hear, but I expect it's only a matter of time before people pop up to troll about this.

Faulty after 1 day ? not very impressive. Now what if the buyer is in Europe.

Yeah, doesn't inspire much confidence of their extensive "burn-in" testing...

Did I read correctly that the Mini Rigs Require a 208v circuit and not a 110v?

I would like to know this as well.

Also giga, how loud are these?  Can you put something on youtube?

I can post a video when I am back in town in July.

How heavy are they? 10-20 pounds? Or more?

1 mini rig is 45lbs. They are monsters.

Did you trade in your Singles or are you still using those?

The singles are still running strong. They are the most maintenance free mining devices I have ever used.

Nice rigs gigavps. Makes me feel a little better about BFL and maybe waiting for them to finally deliver. Though, I'm admittedly still miffed about their lag time (been 6 weeks already waiting).

Thanks for sharing.

You can see the red lights from his singles on the bottom shelf of the left rack in the 5th picture.  Wink

Do NOT require 208v...

But like any modern PSU they can run on 110 to 240.

Now I want you to tear one open and take some pics Cheesy

I sent the one mini rig back to BFL for a diagnosis and some more burn in testing. I'll not be opening one of these puppies up anytime soon.

overnight it?

giga, if you end up replacing the PSU in the one that is down, please let us know which brand/model it uses...Very curious.  Also, have you had an opportunity to take measurements of the mini-rig's dimensions?

Thanks

Loose measurements are: 12w x 17h x 19d

You got me. Something about this thread draws me in like a magnet lol.

It's because it's 100Gh!

I'm not quite sure if many of you have tried to run 100Gh of GPUs. It's pretty much a 10hr a day job.

These things are setup and go.

What's causing you to need to spend that much time a day managing your gpu miners?

I generally only need to spend a few minutes a day checking up on my 32 GH/s of gpu's and fixing any issues that may randomly come up.

Not going to lie...that is some damn sexy hardware.

If anybody is nervous about the impending ASIC doom and wants to unload their mini-rig today - not pre-orders - please PM me.

Anyone wealthy enough to have a Mini-Rig will know your offer is not profitable Grin

Why do you want to order a MiniRig now that the new products are around the corner. Just wait a month or two.

That is what I want to discuss with them - preOrder, Leadtime, Tradein etc

If the new one ship in October then yes you are right. If it end up being later in 2013 well...

there's no way in hell they will ship in october unless they already have the chips fabbed and are assembling things now.

realistically it'll be october for prototyping and a few more months for production at least. especially for someone as small scale as BFL is.
