Do you ppl have some kinda minimum limit for buying bitcoins? I mean for currency.

I don't think that's the case... The minimum is probably like 1 satoshi or something, on an exchange.

It all depends on your seller/exchange.

If you buy 1 satoshi, it will not be cost effective if you want to transfer to your own account. I think 0.1 bitcoin or higher is OK.

That depends totally by exchanges (owners of exchanges) and the time in which is wanted to be bought bitcoin. Or better mainly from the price of bitcoin. Because even the owners/managers of exchanges have their logic in the creation of their policies regarding such things. If the price of bitcoin is high the amount is little. More go high the price of bitcoin more little became the minimum allowed to buy/sell/change it. And the same logic if the price decrease. But in the opposite direction.

My experiences from 3 exchanges is that it's impossible to buy less than 0.1 BTC. And it's logical. Nobody wants to bother with less than that. On some exchanges you can have a peak of past exchanges, and you won't see anything below that. Most transactions are over one BTC.

I don't think there is any base-line minimum limit for how much Bitcoin you can buy, I would say that it's anything you can purchase for $0.01 in an exchange. Alternatively, however, you can "buy" about 5k Satoshis from faucets, in exchange for a few minutes of your time. You can even get as little as 1k from some faucets as a minimum for one withdrawal.

I personally have no limit, I just invest what I have available.

One of the best things about Bitcoin is that you don't need thousands of dollars before you can invest in it.

this is very true. We were thinking about giving the little ones in our family $20 btc so they could save it
and maybe get more into it.

You could buy a satoshi, but I really don't think anyone will sell it to you. They'd also require you to pay for the tx fee, which is twenty thousandfold more than what you want to buy, so I don't see why you would want to buy so little.

The answer of this question is to easy to be given. The limits are according to the desire or the will of the owner/manager/CEO/managing director or everyone who have to do with such kind of job in that subject where can be bought bitcoin. Don't exist any fixed limit. In every subject in which can be bought bitcoin exist different limits. If you want to know the limit ask before and for sure you will have your answer. There where you want to buy bitcoin.

I usually buy %10 of my monthly wage but sometimes more. I'd never measure the minimum though. Even I have 1$ I can buy BTC.

That is about the same strategy as me Smiley Doing it since this year, so avarage buy price has been quite good so far!

Mininum you can buy probably depends on what you have to spend.

If you are to buy btcs you will limit yourself from buying more else you will end up losing as the value isn't stable.
Let say price today is $400, you will lose tons of cash when you discover that after a month BTC's value turn $300. so if you bought 25btc during the tie when its value was $400, you lose money. you will have to wait till it goes up before you gain.

For me it is around $200. If I agree to buy I tend to buy at least this much.
Some people are skeptical so they think they are wasting their hard earned money. So I suggest them to buy for like $20-$50.

The minimum varies between each country I would say.
In some, people won't move for less than 100$, and in others 1$ might be enough.

It depends on the exchange there is a practical limit when purchasing Bitcoins, buying a $1 but paying a $5 dollar fee to get that dollar isn't very economical.
Some exchanges do have stated minimum deposits depending on the method you use.
Example Direct Withdrawals, In Person Bill Payments, Online through services like Quickbt, Wire transfer etc.

That's correct, so the minimum limit depends on

1 transaction fee of the exchange (normally around 0.2 %)
2 withdrawal fee
3 network fee

Don't forget every exchange has a withdrawal fee. For kraken f.e. it is 0.005 BTC (yeah a lot) so it means you have to buy min. 0.005.
