In mining here in crypto if you mine coins/tokens better the price are very cheap then of course with good developer or team behind it so high chance that this will grow like 2x then more after you mine this so you can back all what you invest or risk in the equipment about doing mining still think that this is very risky because you need big funds in this compare to trading site that you can use to invest little by little then if this gone when you really buy then accept that like that's part of taking risk and move on then find other investment

I am sorry to hear about that mate, I can imagine how painful it could be considering the finances, the energy consumes and the fact that it has not even started coming, but it is art of business risk man, you just have to accept your losses and then move on to the next stage of life. This are the part of the risk that I considered in cryptocurrency mining that made never wanted to go for mining at all, look at the time you have spent, do you know how much bitcoin was 2 years ago? If you had invested in bitcoin then, then it would have been another great story by now.

I just prefer to invest in  coin and then hold to mining, even though holding is risky too, but I am not sure it as risky as mining, but the company where you bought that mining machine from, they should still be able to assist you so that you can as least have some profit on it.

I have been in a really heart broken state since yesterday, two of my mining rigs stopped working and after several troubleshoots i finally get what the problem is,guess what? the processors in my motherboards are both dead ....

I haven't even earn my investment back, its not even up to two years yet,i stopped mining few months ago because mining is not profitable to me anymore but now i ended up with dead motherboards

Strange that you were unable to get a ROI even after two years. From what I have seen, many of the miners get their ROI somewhere in between 12 months and 24 months. But stopping mining was not a good idea. Is electricity very expensive in your area? In most of the countries, the majority of the mining expenses are related to the capital costs (mining equipment, cooling system, installation.etc), and therefore stopping mining is not a good idea.

Now let's talk about the solution. If the processors are dead, I don't think that there is anything you can do about them other than replacement. And replacing them is going to be very expensive. Motherboards typically constitute anywhere between 80% and 90% of the machine cost. So think about it for a while and then take a decision by yourself.

Did you previously understand how to mine and maintain mining equipment?
I just heard of cases like this,
If you are a beginner, then it is natural, but if you are a professional, you must question the quality of the mining equipment you use.
to be safer it's better to mine in cloud mining, like hashflare or eobot,
both of these sites make it easy for beginners to mine bitcoin without the need for extensive knowledge.

Some things are just misfortunes that can happen without any warning. Mining is really costly to undertake, it becomes more capital intense when such misfortunes happens at the end of the day. You just have to fix things up and move, there are better days ahead that would bring more glory to you.

Mining is not suitable for a small miners and your experience can become the best example of how the small miners can't survive or even get his money back again. I have been getting the same case too as you last year.
I didn't even meet 60% of my ROI and my VGA have already died.
Mining is designing for the BIG players only. That's why some small miners are trying to take their chance by searching a new potential coin.

Yep that sucks. Probably it’s a sign, kinda stop mining forever and do other stuff, like smart investments or even your own projects?

I wanted to ask why you did not consider replacing them with new processors then I imagined that those processors would be very expensive.
I guess you bought the miners online and they are unavailable or expensive where you live.

You should consider moving your post to mining section where you may find more valuable contributions.

Investing in coins is better than building mining rigs although they are both risky but if you are willing to learn you will be more happier than investing in mining rigs especially investing in IEO projects on huobi or gate.io which has more higher chances of giving profits, you can do more research on IEO

I sympathize with you, man!
I refused mining already about a year ago. It has become completely unprofitable.
I hope you can at least sell graphics cards, maybe this will cover the losses a little.

If you have the money to spare for mining someday consider investing in asic miners, they are durable and last longer than Graphic cards, there are asic miners that can mine Ethash algo coins as well and even asic for cryptonight coins as well if you don't want to mine bitcoin.

Being a miner crypto is hard thing to do at this time, although you choose an altcoin who can be able be mined by a cheap tool compared we intend to mine bitcoin then it cost is really high so the alternative way they will choose altcoin. But yeah, it hard also, you need a high capital to build a mining rig although the compensation will have a small.

This was happened to my friend, he has been two years to be a miner ETH but as far as I know they always complaing with the compensation that he got. So as he decided to stop it and sold the tool and buying crypto especially bitcoin for investing and do you know? He is happy because the income that he got is more then the income whe he is a miner.

This is pointed out before you start something you have to make an analyst by yourself, don't take any good suggestion only but you have to know the risky thing that will be faced.

Sad to hear that you haven't taken the ROI before the death of your motherboard. I'm not a miner but I have talked to a dedicated miner and he said that mining isn't really for everyone. This is also not just about profiting but can also be classified as a passion.

Do you have any plans of replacing it with a new one? What coin are you mining?

Check your warranty, most manufacturers will cover dead miners if they demonstrate a defect within a fixed period of time.

Excluding that, the fact that two of your rigs stopped working at the same time indicates there was a centralized problem (you). Now you'll learn the hard way that investments can be both profitable, and painful. Sadly, it was the latter for you.
The highest warrant you will get on motherboards and graphics card is 1year maximum so the OP stated its been over a year but not up to two years yet and we don't even know where he is from, some countries you can't return motherboards after purchasing a month later

Shit happens, you should have taken risks involved into consideration,Gpus and motherboards can die at any time ,in any investment plans anything is bound to happen so take heart and move on with your life, do not give up because of what happened there is no way to turn back the hand of time but the future is full of hope
