3) Don't skimp on the power supply, a 1000 is marginal AT BEST for 6 of those 1070 models (I have a few of those specific cards, good cards but their TDP is 180 watts).
I'd STRONGLY recommend going to AT LEAST a Seasonic X-1250 or EVGA G2 1300 and even THOSE are going to limit how hard you can push the GPUs.
You might want to STRONGLY consider going to a 2 power supply option.
5) On ETH with those cards, probably around 180-185 IF you have enough power to feed them.
If you have to turn them down far enough to SURVIVE on a 1000, more like 160.
I have 12 1070 cards (two 6 card systems) running 100% stable with a 100 watt power limit on each card and am getting 183 MH/sec per six on ETH and 2500 Sol/sec on ZEC.
I agree a good power supply is a must particularly get one platinum rated so it is more efficient but I think most people with 1070's have them set at 110 watts or less which with 6 cards is only 660 watts plus whatever the rest of the system takes. I use Corsair 1200 watt power supplies and no issues.
From my testing upping the power over 100 watts gives very little gain in hash rate. I certainly wouldn't want to go from 100 watts to 180 to gain 2 MH/sec.
I agree with that. I run the cards when they are most efficient and last long.
