I just hold my coins locally ,I don't really trust any exchange
Any coin with extremely high volume at launch is backed by some Altcoin crypto cartels, hoping to get in some new suckers to the altcoin market, if you want to see what a real coin is doing , have a look at Guldencoin - NLG. Leave it to the dutch to do it right!
A lot of new coins I mined or bought, like TOP, PANDA, PND, SPA, HIRO, GRS...their prices were good before adding in Mintpal. After that, all died.
I don't see why that would be Mintpal's fault. Just invest in a coin that offers something real, something unique, and invest prior to the implementation of big innovations AND make sure the dev(s) have already proven to be competent. You'll make profits this way, trust me, I turned $20 to $3000 in less than a month when i started trading cryptos this way (and i still am making profits 
). 
Mintpal is not the source of the scams. That would be the shitcoin "developers". If people are willing to trade it, why shouldn't Mintpal facilitate trading?
The only thing that I dont like about Mintpal... Is their voting system... All those btc voted coins are getting out of hand here...
Community backed coins dont need donations to get added... Last couple of coins that were added had a total of 5btc or more donated to get listed.... Thats not normal anymore man...
I would like too see Voting only... without payment.... That way there will be a whole other top10 at the voting list Just speculation...

Just speculation... They changed the voting system recently. Now you can't buy votes anymore, so it's a bit fairer.

how can you be sure that is mintpal itself to dump the coins?
Even if they dump the coin, there is nothing wrong with what they did.

Mintpal is just an exchange for people to gamble. A few people did well with majority that lose. Nothing new here.

This is not unique to one exchange they all do this pretty much.

avoid buying into these coins is about all you can do as well as maybe warn others to avoid them (speak up)

Mintpal is a good exchange. Whales and pump n dump groups kill coins.

Just speculation... I agree, i was also disappointed to see Swisscex go the same way with their 'Bribe system' too

I never had any problem with mintpal , and if coins are being dumped , blame the dumpers.
Blame the whale... not mintpal

Same happens when cryptsy adds a coin.Maybe people don't trust small exchanges and only sell coins when they were added to something popular.
