wow.Ripple is great for me because I purchased ripple when it's price was 0.25 Now I have lot of profit.
You will see multifold profit soon in an year.. its going reach 10$

Do not be so confident about the profits from Ripple. Do not forget that this is banksters product, and one day they will want to cash out profits. Then only the lucky ones will be able to jump out before the price crash..  Cool

Even if you miss it when it was less than 1$ there is still a big chance because the coin can reach not less than 10$ in 2018

and maybe even more after that.

I'd like to quote dancupid and myself. (this was 2013)

Ripples are a ponzi, and that's their saving grace, since everyone knows they pre-mined 100 billion of these - so ripples are the worst investment in the world - they don't want us to invest. They've made it explicit. 'Don't invest in ripples, invest in ripples and make us rich'. It's built into the system.
Ironically that's why ripple may succeed.

You don't "invest" in ripple, it's not a currency. It's a debt-tracker.

I was quite wrong, I have to admit: you can invest in ripple. Just make sure you know what you're doing. There is a huge premine and XRP are only meant as "spam prevention token" to enable the IOU-based functionality (trade, transact, exchange,...)

Is there a client wallet app for ripple yet, or is all hosted online?

I see a server UI on github, but that's about it.

I'd like a few to clink together myself, but am not sure if I should get an online wallet or wait for a client I can use locally.

If you are a developer (i.e. you write code), you can sign up for development updates--I did.  I am betting that at some point they will be giving away ripples to developers to encourage them to build client applications for ripple; and they will probably send instructions for the giveaway to those who sign-up for email updates.

The mentality where you price something on its potential is dangerous and what creates bubbles.

Its value should be based on now.

For me, I have a couple of bitcoins and while I would like to imagine that one day they will be worth $3k a piece, the reality is, its unlikely in the next few years.

.1 of a Bitcoin is £1.70 or so, and that's worth wasting on 50k ripples - that is half the price of a McDonald meal - I can afford it!

So, who is going to sell me some at this price?

Smiley

Future expectations are accounted for in price in any free market economy. If suddenly people found out that next month the world's supply of water would dwindle to enough only to support half the global population, the price would increase immediately, not next month.
