Regardless of the fact that you know it's going to happen sometimes, don't you get a little pissed when you miss a massive run like right now...  I just watched BTC go up over 300 in 15 minutes...   Uggg!

I am remembering how I sold several thousands of them at $100. And biting in my fingers when thinking about nice silver coin with 50 bitcoins on it which I didn't buy in one of early bitcoin conferences. That time price was $10. But still - interesting experience.

Same here, that is why I check the market now from time to time and gather as much information as possible here in bitcointalk forum just to make sure I will not miss anything again.

Is the general consensus that other cryptocurrencies will go up after the correction? Just wondering because it seems like what I had in other coins which I bought during the run have gone down a little bit more.  I figured I could catch a break there as a lot of people pulled out to dump into the top dog.

Seriously though, watching this new high has given me a new perspective on the volatility. I'm just waiting for the market to correct.  I just can't see it sustaining this level so fast.
Yes this has improved the volatility of the bitcoin and the brightness of the bitcoin is getting high. Now almost all the areas and all the countries are aware of the bitcoin and the bitcoin is now being the international currency so I hope the coming time is going to be the best time for the bitcoin. I hope the bitcoin is going to make all the things easy for me and I hope the value of the bitcoin will be very high in the coming era.

Well, it's the time when you should watching the market very closely all the time if you want to catch your share. All the period before the fork will be so dynamic. But why to regret for missed opportunities, there will always be the new ones you just have to learn the lesson and be prepared for new ones. To be focused on your goal is the key.

Will btc keep going hard until 7k I wonder  Huh
why wondering? bitcoin can reach much bigger than that, we see many speculations before and most of them are happening right now, bitcoin can reached maybe 10K$ after the first quarter of next year or possible it can be much earlier, we just needed to continue spreading the good potentials of btc to our
friends, relatives and all those people we know helping them to gain as well from this investment that we have.

There are a reasonable number of financial gurus who advertise that Bitcoin will go to as high as $1 million, or anywhere between where it is now, and the $million.

I was sad to have missed this big race but I know I'm not financially able go with it Sad

You didn't miss, except if you don't have any money at all. Buy a satoshi or two if that's all you have. Besides. At that rate, you won't have lost very much when it goes down.

Imho this run is not that massive. I belive that we should expect a BTC correction pretty soon so the price will come back and we will also see a strong correction after the ICO bubble will dump cryptos in the next year. So you can just try to wait for another run.
Btw I know a  guy that refused to buy BTC for 2100 usd before the august fork so don't blame yourself, there is always someone who lost more opportunities Smiley

I think you might be right...  I'm just trying not to let it annoy me that I pulled my BTC out before the biggest run.

do not be surprised, this will often happen in this year and early 2018. It is better to hold bitcoin in the wallet than to be in a hurry to sell it. Unless you want to trade it Cheesy

Welcome to the crypto community where you experience lots of "uggggss"! Well thats natural because crypto currencies are very uncertain and you never know which one will get pumped at what time. This is more often in the altcoin market where currencies are fluctuated like 500-1000% which is really unbelievable here in the crypto market but not forget its not unusual when you get to know it more.

I used to get pissed when I was very noob and did not really understand how the market works really but now as I know whole thing at some good level I can see where I'm going with it.

yes it was based on its  movement in the market. And also there's a possibility cause some of bitcoiners have some theory on it i recently read that information in neither thread.  Ugg i repent we are late in this scenario. Maybe next time when btc fall.  Tssk

That is just another sign of bitcoin getting invested by huge investors at the same time and I believe it has got to do some business with the upcoming hard fork. Start counting your days as its coming in 14 days from now and also you will see many hikes like the one you saw. Its the bitcoin works and its always showing up the exponential growth in the long run. In my crypto career I have seen many hikes like that and also worst deeps you can't even imagine. But in any case you get the chance if you miss it. If you believe in the bitcoin then just keep an eye on it always and keep investing in the liquid state which gives your investment a stability.

A few other cryptoholders, I know, invested in ETH at the beginning of the year and bought more ETH during the $3k china ban drop of BTC a few month ago. Now they feel left off, as BTC climbs higher and higher and the value of the altcoins stay somehow the same.
Not only did the forks of BTC gold and Segwit2x help to increase the value of BTC, but the big media attention and all the positive news around blockchain and the announcement of CME to start a BTC contract. Regardless of all the great altcoins out there, BTC is THE cryptocoin.

Yeah, btc keeps increasing while some altcoins keed decreasing. I have an investment in some altcoins and Im planning to trade it to btc when btc drop.
I just hope that I will still get profit in trading some of my alts.

This is not the time to expect any profits from altcoins at all. Whatever the coin that you invested in is, its price goes up only when people invest in it.
Since the price of bitcoins is already going crazy enough and making a lot of people huge profits in a matter of minutes, no one will look for any altcoins now. You can either sell for a loss or wait until this wave is over and price kinda stabilizes.

When the profits of daily trading isn't high in btc as it's now, that's when altcoins get some attention back. Oh my god, btc just went up by another $300 ! It's totally unbelievable and I still believe it will crash a lot soon. I actually sold what I was holding (I'm not a long-term hodler) at the $6100 peak and it started going down a little bit but looks like it wasn't the end.  Cry

Bitcoin supply are 21million and were at 16+million of supply already.  I think bitcoin will rally until 1st quarter of the year since more and more promising projects from ICO  are born which want to compete with bitcoin. More and more people are trusting bitcoin even its volatility in the market because of its high profitability unlike in altcoin which are really dump now. Hope they will also have a pump now.
