Already we've got few institutions in USA accepting bitcoin and few other cryptocurrencies as tuition payment US Ivy League Wharton School to accept cryptocurrency payment for its online course. But, those are limited to few educational programs like blockchain and digital assets programme, “Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets” programme which are just six week programs. Now Bentley University have begun accepting bitcoin for all courses available in university. This is a big move in the educational development and creates more space for other universities to follow it.

momentum in the crypto world, used to be underestimated, even people didn't want to hear about bitcoin, but now everyone is interested in bitcoin, in fact almost all people have adopted bitcoin, there are even companies that have accepted payments in bitcoin, there are even countries that have already legalized bitcoin, maybe with all the good journey this will be a very good momentum for bitcoin going forward.
That's good before they lag any further, It's never too late as long as we want to try and learn it. Bitcoin gives us total freedom and it makes us more comfortable than any other investment. Here we are given full control over the assets that we have, and that's a lot of fun. Especially now that so many are adopting Bitcoin, it will be an important capital for Bitcoin to develop further in the future.

But if we wanted to see if fully adopted, it should be retail investors, individuals like you and me that will push bitcoin to its global adoption.

While retail investors like you and me are vital to bitcoin's overall growth, this is not something that can increase like magic. Only by the influence by the news and social media can we increase these numbers(mass adoption). And how can this happen? This can happen or hasten whenever some big organization, institution or a massively influential person announces a positive action or view about bitcoin or any crypto currency. Just like how products that have famous individuals advertising them are gaining more sales than others of the same kind, Bitcoin or the entirety of this industry as a whole also needs as much influential people, organizations, and institutions to promote it in a good light to hasten the mass adoption even more.

Quote
Yeah, maybe educational institutions could also another industry but as someone posted, this is going on for many years now, but we really don't have the numbers if parents of the students are paying with bitcoin or the old and traditional fiat system.

Please explain this a bit more since I find it hard to analyze the real thought that you are trying to explain, thanks.

Cryptocurrency is gathering momentum every now and then. Organisations and institutions are seeing the need to start accepting the new way to easy life. Now that Bentley University has accepted cryptocurrencies for tuition payment, as one of the first universities in the US to do so, what can we expect?

I do not know much about the new way to easy life that you are talking about but yes, I am assuming that the big organizations, institutions and some major personalities are already eyeing bitcoin or this entire industry as a whole. This is because more people are jumping into this industry hastening mass adoption and these guys are seeing this as a good opportunity to make more bucks. Not to mention the tons of solutions that this industry can offer to currently existing problems nowadays. I expect that the numbers will just increase as time goes by.

I agree that bitcoin is slowly catching up the eye of this big organizations, institutions and some major personalities.

I agree that there's more adoption, and some things happen in that area every now and then. A university accepting tuition fees in BTC isn't new at all, though, as was mentioned by btc_angela. So another university doing that is good, but not a huge change. Overall, the rate at which Bitcoin is gaining momentum is quite slow for global adoption, IMO. And when I say 'global adoption', I mean adoption on the level of smartphones, for example. A business or a university doing their part is good, but these are still baby steps.

The ability to earn much good % of profit what makes this create noise to the people and for what it achieve for over months plus the adoption rate increasing then most provably more number of peoples are starting to show their interest about cryptocurrencies. And since more business and countries accepting it then most provably we can see this succeed and maybe it will be added naturally on financial system of the world in future.

Oh, they were the first in the US to do so? if I'm not mistaken I already read the same good news but I think it's a university outside the US. This is a good move for them if they have some kind of extra revenue that they can convert to bitcoin using this method and hold that until it reaches the price they want to sell. Some companies are using this method as well by converting their savings funds to bitcoin hoping that it will gonna double when another bull run came as we know, this method is for long term holding only, it's not recommended for short terms because the price might not change or it might decrease if it's only for a short period of times.

what can we expect?

a lot of hope that is desired from bitcoin is actually not only for education that can be received, but in all aspects without any prohibition from the central government of one country,
With advances in technology and information without realizing it, there are already many people who know bitcoin and are trying to make a profit from bitcoin itself

If my memory serves me right, there are a lot of universities around the world that started to accept crypto as tuition fee,

First one in 2013: https://www.unic.ac.cy/you-can-now-pay-your-university-tuition-with-bitcoins-wired/

Germany:

2016 - https://esmt.berlin/knowledge/esmt-berlin-bitcoin-pays#

And in the US since 2014:

France in 2018: https://news.bitcoin.com/french-university-accepts-fees-in-bitcoin-for-blockchain-technology-courses/

what can we expect?
Expect the same thing that will happen to the market. And for the adoption, it's going to be as usual if there are more companies and businesses that will adopt bitcoin as payment.
It's not actually the momentum that we've been waiting for but it's part of it that we'll see that everything is starting to change. Because unlike before, many don't like the idea of accepting bitcoin.

This is nice to hear that now organisation and institutions are also increase using of bitcoin day by day . Yeah , I think If the use continues to increase day by day there will be a  Momentum in Cryptocurrencies. I also heard some good news that Bitcoin is being used in legal tenders in some countries. In the end I will say that since the news is good then new momentum must be added

Bitcoin is currently a very hot topic of discussion because more and more countries recognize it as a currency. in this year alone we have seen ukraine, russia and panama recognize bitcoin as a currency, in the future we will see more countries and it can't be stopped anymore.
Lol, where's the source Ukraine and Russian officially accepting Bitcoin as legal tender? They're only accept Bitcoin as legal in their country and still can't use Bitcoin to buy groceries on their country. However every year Bitcoin is always have a topic to discuss either the development, ban/unban, privacy, daily usage, speculation etc. It's never ended, even 100 years in the future.

Bitcoin is slowly getting momentum for sure! Not just corporates or educational institutions, but even countries are joining the bandwagon. Recently Brazil and Mexico has shown interest in legalizing bitcoin. So we are slowly getting there.

It's a chain reaction really. Such kind of mass adoption takes time and that's what is happening with bitcoin as well. That's what we can expect, what else!

Just like the prices that goes back and forth, adoptions is expected to follow suit. With more and more awareness of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, coupled with the fact that, institutions and professors in various schools have adorned the blockchain technology for which most cryptocurrencies are built on and have even featured in some school courses, it remained a matter of convenience for schools to adopt cryptocurrency for an exchange medium.

The slow adoption is just building a healthy system and giving individuals, institutions or organisations the time they need to jump unto the system. Bitcoin continues to be better and when the bull market comes around, its sure to gain more momentum still.

Well, we are currently in the bear market, so we should be seeing again some positive movement that will in time result in upward momentum that will bring us into the bull market. It's not here yet, but we could be hitting the start of the upward cycle sometime next year, so some positivity towards the market should start to regain soon. Obviously, that's if we don't hit any major setbacks like a world war or a major recession.

I am figuring that the OP is asking directly what to expect from this news specifically, and yes its
the chain reaction of each little bit of news like this builds awareness and adoption but from
this news of Bentley university accepting crypto it will largely go unnoticed, its just another
positive news story for Bitcoin, so yea as avikz states, they happen every day.
