I don't care what anyone says fluffypony is a as, not only does he set up pump and dumps so his main people and himself make a shitload of money. then he pulls that lame as stunt last night. it is a shame because XMR is a good coin and can be way better with the right crew. he fucked many people and thought it was funny people were all over his fat ass on Twitter and he did not give two shits either. Talking about people that buy on the reason of a big announcement are losers and XMR does not want that type of people. Duh last time i looked everyone in crypto is out to make some money we are what keeps the market alive with out us traders there would be no market Fluffypontfatgayass

The only reason you'd buy monero at this point is if you hate money. Yeah, it'll survive, but so will it's more ethical and equally private competitors. And then you've got this circlejerk of morons convincing themselves and each other that the no one profited from the stunt fluffy pulled and that it's actually a good thing. Because nothing says success like obliteraing your chances of getting listed on coinbase and/or partnering with a company like JP Morgan. For a coin that has such a great community surrounding it, they decided to reward the community by plunging them into shit. Lets see how it works out for them.

Straight FUD. Monero has no "more ethical" competitors. Dash is a super scam with the founder owning almost a third of all coins, it can collapse at any time and ZCash being a government funded project. So whom are you talking about? Monero has already recovered a day after the event and is worth more than before the announcement so there are actually no real effects. The only people that suffered are day traders and that is always a super risky undertaking. Nonetheless, I think Fluffys actions were mistake after thinking about it.

It's not FUD. I'm not saying Monero is a scam coin. It'a a well developed coin that I believe will make significantly less money for it's investors than rival cryptocurrencies. If you think I'm wrong in the short term or long term, give me an example of how/why XMR will rally.

And at the very least, admit that a handful of people with inside knowledge profited from this stunt.

I don't know if anybody profited with insider information. I hope not. But I see this possibility as the main problem of his stunt: It's impossible to prove that they didn't profit so it casts some doubt and bad vibes.

Monero already has rallied incredibly, just look at the last year. Nobody knows how it will go on, this goes for the entire cryptospace but I see Monero a top contender as a lot of the top 20 coins don't actually have a lot to offer (besides hype). Very few projects have devs and tech as good and solid as Monero. That should be a reason for future success.

Fungibility and anonymity are essential for realising the core values of a cryptocurrency and who are Moneros contenders in this field? Dash and Bytecoin are complete scams (this can be researched easily) and with ZCash anonymity is optional and most transactions are not anonymous which endangers the anonymity of the transactions that are supposed to be anonymous.

Yes, and because they profited, mental gymnastics make them defend the action because things turned out well for them. Doesn't even have to be intentional scam.

If the Monero devs don't like speculators and hype then they shouldn't have their coin listed on the markets.

I don't get why some people think only daytraders got burned. I somehow don't believe that, because daytraders buy the rumour and sell the news, a lot of them probably already sold before the news. Lots of people are new to crypto everyday and during the time the coin was 0.022+ you could have new people thinking this coin is very interesting and buying it. Will take a while until it recovers to that price, who knows.

People are way overreacting. In January 2016 Bitcoin crashed way worse when it was branded a "failed experiment" by dev Mike Hearn. Did BTC never bounce up again? Fluffy's action was irresponsible but it might have been a good thing in the long run as people will listen a lot less to him.

I dont think they can find big investors anymore. They lost trust with this last move

Bytecoin just a new player in the coinmarket cap, but looks they're gaining more traction rather than XMR. Because there are some coin based on the privacy coin or anonymity. The more demand goes to the the gold and silver crypto.

I'm confident that Monero will bounce back again. What FluffyPonyza did, wasn't just some trolling. It was a very clever way to get Monero to the way it wants to be.

They want Monero to stay clean and stable, not to get Pumped & Dumped. After that move, it will stabilize and gain continuously.

Monero will be THE anon cryptocurrency, and to get rid of impacts you need to get rid of guys manipulating Monero becasue of rumors. After making a rumor himself and clearing up that Monero will never announce previously but just release, speculators aren't interested in Monero anymore.

I lost money myself too becasue I was just stupid not reading his twitter posts, not studying what Monero stands for. After I lost I got through the postings of Monero staff and I just thought how incredibly stupid I was to buy in high.

So in my opinion Moneros journey has just started and I like it more than ever before.

Yes what fluffypony did hurt the coin a lot and buried their chances to get onto coinbase anytime soon. However Monero is not the coin that will be killed by one such flop. The coin already is traded at most big markets including poloniex and also has what most shitcoins can never hope for. XMR has use and is adopted as currency on several places. This coin won't die, and even if it takes a while it will bounce back.

rumors of the potential for a reversal is just too much . They're scaring small investors . Strategic as normal.
