We often hear the term "money can't buy happiness". Apparently, the term is not entirely correct.
Money can buy a certain level of life satisfaction, depending on how much money we have and how we manage it.
A study shows emotional well-being increases with a person's income at a certain point.
The study was conducted in 2010 to 450,000 participants in America. As a result, participants with higher incomes had high emotional well-being with an annual income of $75,000. And decreases by number.Besides having money, there are several important factors that determine satisfaction and happiness in life, such as being able to meet basic needs, enjoying life's experiences, and having social ties.

In my personal opinion and the happiness that I actually feel is when we are with the people we love under any circumstances, and money is only a complement because it can buy or make what we want with the people we love will be happier.
so both are very important and complementary, and but if we don't have much money and we are with our loved ones it can still make us feel happy because we are with happy people. And if we have a lot of money and we are not with the people we love, it will do us no good and we become lonely. that's how i feel.

Yes indeed there is a difference of opinion between us regarding, "money does not guarantee happiness". But in my opinion, the luxury life, being able to buy everything what we want with money is not a happiness, but rather our satisfaction with something.
From happiness we can get satisfaction, but not the other way around.

You pointed your opinion and other members also are pointing their own versions, more on self expalained thoughts about this topic, the more we read the more we see differences from how we percept things out. We just need to respect how other people thinks about happiness and let them express what they feel about this topic.. Roll Eyes Grin

Not having money you can't have joy in you as a man. Money is everything to a grown up man , he uses money to solve all of his problems and when their is no money available that's becomes a problem which will hardly find happiness within him. Now things are becoming so expensive day by day. It is only money that can keep  man going and happy. This can be expressed with a man that has a lot of responsibility to meet up with when he is broke he gets unhappy all the time.

Well, to put everything you said in a brief sentence; money is power.
I don't believe in the sayings that money can't buy happiness. Well, there are some specific things that a person can be happy with that cannot be bought by money, example a person's life. But basically money can make a person happy because money controls the world, and thats the reality of it. It is also the reason why people are working hard to earn more money, basically to get everything what he wants that makes him happy.

For everyone, whether a poor, middle class, upper middle class or a rich are depend on money for every need. When you have atleast enough money to satisfy your needs, yes you will be at peach and yes the day will be the happy day. When you are happy, you will keep your surroundings much happier. Many do say, money alone does is not the life. But yes besides money, we need love and etc but I feel the basic need of love is the money I would say.  We can spend time in entertaining others to be happy but those who are entertained must be behind money to make their life happier. Money is the ultimate need.

This is the word that I am looking for in order to be satisfied. I believe that this is the most intense emotion that we would be experiencing if we purchased costly items such as the most recent model of phone on which we bet our lives on success. The majority of individuals who are not wealthy believe that they are happy. They believe that they are truly happy if they are not sick, if they can eat three times a day, and if they have a happy family. The majority of people believe that happiness is about having a strong family.

Actually, It is wrong to combine money and happiness. It is true that one can never be happy with money but in some cases, money brings happiness and makes people smile.
For example, if a person who has been starving for a long time is given some money to buy food, then a smile of relief appears on his face. Let's look at another example Someone is suffering from debt, he can't afford to pay off the loan, so if he is helped with some money, that money will bring him some happiness.

For me personally, the concept of money and happiness are very different in life and in the meaning of the concept. Because money cannot be compared to happiness. Happiness is when you have a full, decent, healthy life with your loved ones. And money is just an item that you can use for your needs. And happiness is something big and if it is, it's just cool. And if there is no happiness, then money will not help in this. You can't measure happiness with money.
on the other hand, actually coming back when there is no money then happiness can be difficult to achieve because indeed the benchmark of happiness for most people, one of the important factors is money.
if it could be said that the concept is an indicator that is happiness and an important factor that crosses that happiness is money.
it's not all like that but most will definitely choose money first because a little more money can affect happiness

I choose both. You can be happy but you don't have money to buy your daily needs like food, water and other things. If you choose money alone then you can be happy but only for a short time but the daily needs can be bought anytime, that is why I choose both instead of one. We alk have different reasons why we choose money over happiness and happiness over money. Being happy because of money can be long time if you have lots of money to spend like going out with friends and stuff.

I somehow disagree with the first statement.

While there may be this misconception that money does NOT guarantee happiness, it does enable someone to be happy especially if a person came from nothing and gained everything. It all depends on whether the person has the capability of transforming money and converting it into happiness by purchasing stuff or experiencing once-in-a-lifetime moments.

That is why, every time I hear someone saying that money cannot buy happiness, I tend to disagree. I mean, if I have the money to own several BTCs, that would definitely make me happy.
Being practical and realistic what you are saying is true, you can convert happiness when you already have the luxury, money can make you happy in material things, that's no doubt, it can easily give you the enjoyment that you are looking the luxurious life that you haven't had before, when you have lots of money it's easy for you spend it out and buy whatever you desire.

Material things that will bring the enjoyment or other things that you can do using your money that will simply allow you to enjoy.

But, on the other side, there is a happiness that we can't simply buy but we need to feel. That kind of happiness reside from our inner side..

It's not about agreeing or not but we have to be aware that a person's measure of happiness is different, many people out there are happy but he doesn't have money, he only has a whole family, healthy and always feeling grateful and many people are happy because a lot of money can because can fulfill his desires or lusts so that he feels happy and there are many people who have everything but he feels unhappy.
Doesn't that show that the measure of happiness for people is different, some are happy in a simple way and some are happy because of their satisfaction.

I think it was George Soros who said "the best thing about having a lot of money is you stop thinking about it".
There's another saying stating "you can't build a full life on an empty stomach".

Money is important. How important it is to you depends, first on your personality, and second on your circumstances. Lots of poor people say "if I had money I wouldn't work again", yet you see gazillionaires going to work every day. Of course, going to your office as CEO of Facebook or Amazon is not the same as going to dangle from the end of a rope for a few bucks an hour, but at the end of the day, the point stands.

Can money guarantee happiness? No, it can't. But as they say, it's a lot comfier to cry in a Mercedes than sitting on a curb.
That said, it'd be nice to have a meal, not thinking if I'll be able to afford the next one.

Arguing between money and happiness I think will be endless and just a waste of time,
better go back to each other's point of view,
what is certain is that the two between money and happiness for me are like complementing each other

Really hard to say that money doesnt give out that kind of capability on giving out everything in terms of happiness and as you said that once someones satisfaction had been granted or attained
then it would be next to happiness which it is really hard to ignore nor avoid the saying that money is everything.Who doesnt love money right? People are greedy naturally
and as long you would able to buy things according to your likes then you would be glad and you could buy up everything and do all sorts of things that you do like.

Money doesn't guarantee happiness although having a lot of money may make someone be happy. Not every single person in the world be happy because of money, even some of them are unhappy because they are rich people. Some people can be the target of robbers since they have much money. In this case, no one will be happy to be a target of robbers. So, I want to remind you that having much money also can be a trouble, not only to make you happy.
having a lot of money can be a target for robbery and not having money can starve a person.
when you are rich you will be the target of robbery (as you say) and when you are poor you will starve, both are equally threatening your life. then which one will you choose? In other words being rich or poor has different advantages and disadvantages, you are free to choose which one because someone's happiness is different.
actually there are still ways to avoid that difficult choice.
If you get rich you can keep most of the money you have in the bank and you can pay for a bodyguard, I think it can save you from robbery. But if you become poor you have to work hard and keep trying to earn money, and I think the money earned from that effort is enough to buy food and you will avoid starvation. who are clearly rich or poor still have to work hard, work hard to maintain wealth or work hard so as not to starve.
We do share up on the same common goal which is to survive, it is just we do have different level of intellect and profession level which it will really depend or vary on how much we could potentially earn.

To those who are on higher standards or skills will surely have some advantage over the other and this is where money making would be different and this is where it do creates rich -average - poor ones.

Deal with the reality and dont get envious with others achievement because this wont really be a good behavior to have.

Money does not guarantee happiness. In my opinion, money and happiness are 2 different things. Happiness can be found in simple things.
I find it strange when there are people who do everything they can to earn money and they think it's for their happiness. I think that mindset is wrong.
What you say is true but we also can't deny that having a lot of money can make someone happy,
We can't measure someone's happiness because everyone has their own standard of happiness

There is a very famous saying ""More money can never buy or bring happiness"".

In our society, some people have money all the way.  If you have money, every problem of life will be removed.  Is that really so?  Is money really the solution to all our problems?

If I was asked I would say ""no"".

Money cannot solve all our problems.  Money does not always bring happiness.  But in some cases money brings happiness.  For example, if a child who has been starving for many days on the street is given some money to buy food, then a smile of peace or relief appears on his face.  Suppose you are in a lot of debt and can't find a way to repay the loan, then you will be relieved if you get some money to repay the loan.

This is not to say that money is at the root of all our happiness.  We need money to sustain our lives but to be happy in life we need to be content with a little.  More money does not bring happiness but causes misfortune.

Money and happiness are 2 things that can't be separated, especially nowadays all things are valued with money so without money it will be difficult to live, we will not be happy if we can't eat, don't have a house, always be beggars and so on. although money is not everything but with money there are many things we can do, even for happiness it will not be complete without money.
