It's driven by the community.
You can say "no devs", as well as "many devs".
Please read the OP https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17349356
to make sure that the community is quite active.

Not only you, really a lot of people remember MOON.
It's one of the most known classic, mineable Altcoins.
It's NOT a pump-and-dump brand new ICO coin.

I can remember the day when this coin launched. Unbelievable it still exist. Are there any active devs or is it just pump and dump?

To The Moon !
You believe that an unstable coin like that is going to be a good hedge against changes in the larger market? What you need to hedge things with to something that actually has a guaranteed rise in value like Bitcoin. You're not going to head something with something that is so utterly and completely unpredictable.

The question is what will be easier:
for BTC to go from almost $3000 to $15000 (x5),
or for MOON to go from 2 Satoshi to 10 Satoshi (x5).
Maybe the word "hedge" is not completely correct, it's all about the risk/reward ratio.
It's just a diversification. MOON is not more unstable than other known coins.
No one can predict the madness of the market though.
BTC was a good hedge at $500-$1000, but now at almost $3000 with an upcoming blockchain changes (August, 1), the possible split into a classic BTC and BTC unlimited (BTU), it's not a hedge (at least not now) in my opinion.
Are you sure that Bitcoin has a guaranteed rise in value from these levels?

The crypto is a quite unpredictable thing though, it always surprises.

Good afternoon from Greece. I agree 100% with Mooncoin Foundation. I write it for the first time publicly: A realistic goal for me is  20 satoshi.  Smiley

Very quiet here. Is it the sinking course? Page 98 and so much more was happening. Do not feel like Mooncoin.

Also, don't forget that a week from now, the moon is starring in the forbes magazine.

[This story appears in the July 27, 2017 issue of Forbes.]

Hopefully that will drum up some interest although it may hurt the coin more than help given what other coins it's lumped in with

I totally agree.

I guess people have short memory and they already forgot the power of MoonCoin on the markets. Few short weeks ago moon had a daily (yes daily!) volume on bleutrade as high as 600 BTC. I even saw a woman/guy buy 10.7 BTC worth of moon at 10 satoshi.

Now sell away moon non-believers.

Not everyone needs a new lambo (or how the trollbox sayings go?). Well but I do.  Grin

People were selling BTC during last weeks and when they had sold,
BTC started rising - and significantly.
Probably Mooncoin is in the same situation, with the difference that sellers have not sold yet.
No faith... people are happy to sell crypto even if they have gained just a little.
Will see what will happen.

Hello Mooncoin community!
I am new to mooncoin mining (started today!) after resuscitating some old scrypt-mining hardware.... I was trying to get a wallet on linux, but not successfully! Any suggestion?
Thank you

P.S.
This is my "vintage" mining setup :-)
https://steemit.com/mining/@chirale/scripta-back-on-mining

Hello,
try to re-compile it, people reported earlier that it indicated some errors during compiling and that these errors can be safely ignored,
but for details, please PM Mooncoin miners, e.g. coinflow (https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/coinflow-257065), he used to successfully compile the Linux wallet.

Thank you! I'll give it a go now!

Nova is a good exchange, but not the largest one for MOON.
They listed MOON several months ago.
Mooncoin is being actively traded since Jan, 2014.
Not sure what you mean by "stay good for the next days".
