I know you like to stretch the interpretations of words as much as possible, but really, this is getting sad the lengths you are having to go to now to justify your actions. We both know my words were a direct response to your comments and your emotions got the better of you and you made a poor judgement.

Well at least you finally admit the entire post is a direct criticism of me, since the debate wasn't about me I appreciate you pointing out that the entire post was off topic as I asserted from the beginning.  You forgot to add above and beyond the criticism was the discriminatory comments included in your post.

Can you tell me what section an entire post criticizing someone should belong?  Would that be reputation or Politics and Society?  I'll give you a hint look at where the thread is still located!

Lets take a look:

1. The topic of the thread is "We stand with the second Amendment no matter what...", which I directly address in reference (1).

2. I directly reply to Flying Hellfish's commentary comparing other forum posters to terrorists, exploiting the recent bomb threats and attacks in reference (2).

3. I again reference the fact that he compared these posters to terrorists, pointing out that they say plenty of things far more worthy of criticism, and this is simply a pet issue of his.

4. The entire post is a direct criticism of his words and the way in which he conducts himself during "debate".


It is convenient to simply just label this "off topic" or "trolling" when you don't agree with the conclusions. The problem is eventually its going to be you too unable to speak freely, that is how censorship works. Frankly though I don't believe either of you actually believe what you are saying and are just hoping you can spin this and wrap it up before too many people notice and think too hard about it.

Except you didn't even address the actual situation. I wasn't complaining. I didn't find it necessary to post about Flying Hellfish's Reputation, but he decided to put this here as if I posted the op. Literally this thread is a direct result of his actions.

Also I find it amusing you accuse me of not being able to control myself for more than a few posts without personal attacks while both of you pretty much include one in almost every post. I think there may be just a little bit of projection going on. Actually the entire post was about your comment. You can play word games all you like to pretend you didn't do what you did, but it is clear what the direct result is. Shutting down political criticism you could not handle by moving it to an unrelated section, making it appear like I posted a reputation post.

You removed it because I exposed your hypocrisy, using terrorist attacks to try to demonize the people you disagree with as terrorists while talking out of the other side of your mouth about scaling back rhetoric, as if Conservatives are to blame for these attacks. In fairness to users BADecker, Spendulus, CoinCube they have never openly posted about me censoring them (AFAIK), they have all appeared to be relatively reasonable when discussing mod issues unlike TECHSHARE or Moloch.

1) If those two are entitled to their opinion, then Flying Hellfish too is entitled to his opinion and is authorized to vocalize comments thereof.
2) American politics are not restricted solely to those that reside in the United States (or are citizens outside of the country). There is no reason why Canadians should not discuss American politics as well as their own.

I for one, support the second amendment. (And to create some change in Canadian law to authorize tools for self-defence)

Was there anything deleted in the thread? I can't tell but looking at it all I see is FH providing their opinion on the topic. Just because they are a MOD and their opinion isn't inline with 2nd amendment protectionist views, they should still be able to express that freely.

We wouldn't want to stiffle the right of people to express themselves freely here, within the guidelines/rules of the forum. This includes you and being able to express your feelings/thought on the subject.

I can admit to being more enthralled with US politics from an early age, because of the spectacle. The constant nearly never ending campaigning and the at times outright hilarity of the people and their actions that deem themselves adequate to rule govern. Canadian politics are generally boring by comparison, at least until a few years ago when we had a good year of real winners popping up all over the place.

I think Flying Hellfish went a little too far with that comment about B1tUnl0ck3r and BADecker being the next terrorist or bomber or whatever.  Having said that, I don't follow any of the threads which are causing this drama.

I would hope that Flying Hellfish's personal beliefs don't interfere with his fair treatment of members here as far as moderation goes, i.e., that he's not deleting posts based on someone defending the right to bear arms (which is primarily a widely-held value in the United States if I'm not mistaken and not as much so in Canada).  The United States has a long history of citizens needing to be armed.  There were long periods of time when huge parts of the country was basically lawless and people had to stand up for what was theirs.  This has carried over into the present day, where many folks believe they need to have the ability to bear arms to defend themselves and their property. 

Regardless of whether B1tUnl0ck3r and BADecker are exhibiting signs of being mentally unstable, their voices should be heard--as long as they follow the rules of the forum.  Flying Hellfish has done an excellent job as a mod as far as I can tell, and I trust he'll keep his own biases out of his moderation.

I presume, it is fine when the left does the very same thing (not that both sides haven't done it)? NPC.
