Satoshi was active on Bitcointalk but he is not active currently.
Do we have more famous people on Bitcointalk but still active recently? Not limited to Bitcoin and Altcoins of course.
What is your most famous person on Bitcointalk you have ever seen?

Edit: I mean real person like John Mc Affee

bitcoin is supposed to maintain anonymity i doubt that anyone famous would willingly expose themselves of interacting with other people let alone about cryptocurrency with that being said, i don’t know anyone famous in here and if there is any they are probably hiding under a pseudonym like a lot of us do

I think Didi Taihuttu is also on this forum, for those that don't know him. He's the one that's been on the news on 2016 about selling his house for Bitcoin.

How about the word HODL? The one who invented it is here --> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/i-am-hodling-375643

How about laszlo? The famous 10k BTC/ pizza. --> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pizza-for-bitcoins-137

The founder of the Ethereum project but known person but he is inactive too since 2016. Well, every bitcointalk member is a real person though and only few bots are in action as far as I know.

Unfortunately, I did not have the luck to meet any of these celebrities here on the forum, but fortunately the founder of the forum is still active with us today and is considered one of the old Bitcoin participants.

The most famous figures, such as Satoshi, Hal, and others, are no longer among us now, and no one knows whether Satoshi is dead or alive? No one knows, maybe he is alive and entering the forum under a pseudonym or an alternative account? Who knows?

I mean a real person, like John Mc Affee or similarly famous.

In that case, i'd guess it'd limited to few people with technical knowledge (such as Jameson Lopp and Gregory Maxwell).

Bitcoin Talk is a very good platform for Bitcoin. Where people from different countries gather on one platform and discuss various topics, especially Bitcoin. These groups represent different communities. Here people are told and guided how to mine Bitcoin and how to trade and stock. The most famous figure on Bitcoin is Satoshi Nakamoto, its founder.
Bitcoin Talk works as a social media. Apart from this it also projects Bitcoin and makes people aware about it.People also solve many business problems through communication, and it is especially beneficial for women and youth.

Well, we don't know the real persons behind majority of the usernames here. There may be some of us here who are famous in real life. So it's hard to tell, but as far as those who are personally known are concerned, at least there's Charlie Lee, the creator of Litecoin. He's still a bit active. There might be more, but the rest of those who have got big names especially in crypto like Andreas Antonopoulos, Adam Back, Vitalik Buterin, and others are mostly inactive.

I would agree that Charlie Lee is likely the most famous person that can be reached on these forums. He has been featured on TV many times making him the most likely person to be recognized by the average person. There have been more influential and well known people who have posted here, but not many stuck around once the trolls and scammers moved in.

I'd be curious to know if we have actual celebrities on the forum although I think if that was ever found out, those accounts might leave or create a new account to save themselves the headache from beggars and fanatics.

There's many who have been considered famous when it comes to the bitcoin world. Satoshi, Hal Finney, Gmaxwell, Vitalik, Charlie Lee, theymos, are among a few of those names that comes to mind, all of whom have been mentioned already. There are tons more active users who have some sort of fame. For example, current campaign managers have fame as they are the ones hiring and letting people earn bitcoin. Gambling site owners have some fame as well. Too many to list but check the gambling section, most of the sites topics are active.

Many people who are well known cryptocurrency figures have been active in the forum at some point. Outside of Satoshi, probably the biggest name would be Vitalik Buterin — the creator of Ethereum. There are also controversial personalities like Roger Ver.
A hacker who stole over 50,000 BTC from the Silk Road also had a forum account. He was known as Loaded on BitcoinTalk.

Roger Ver: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/memorydealers-10310

I don't know about an account of the hacker on Silk Road, James Zhong

It was nutildah, unfortunately Alexa which is a project about web's rating, is already closed. So we can't know which keyword is the most popular in this forum right now.

My wild guess probably Symmetrick is the famous user right now.

Top Keywords...
@nutildah you are quite a famous man...

usually trolls like nutty have a bot that searches the site every few seconds for mentions of their own name.

Most of the famous people here on Bitcointalk are those who are always active here on the forum.

You can check the BPIP.org tool to find them and I think they are under the most recognized tab check the link below.

People that are active on Bitcointalk are famous, but they might not be the most famous person. You will see Satoshi Nakamoto Bitcointalk account being discussed in other social media other than Bitcointalk. No one that has account on this forum that will not know Satoshi Nakamoto, but his account on this forum is not active.

What I know is that Satoshi is the only famous person on this forum. But as you said, Satoshi is no longer active now. So to be clear, I also don't know who the famous people are who joined this forum and are still active on this forum. Because as we know, the people on this forum are all very anonymous regarding their respective identities.

Bitcointalk prioritizes privacy of users and reveal about real names, new identities is not recommended.

It can cause personal dox attacks that is not allowed by forum rules.

There are some cypherpunks who are still active nowadays but on social media like X (Twitter). Some developed their own cryptocurrency projects and no longer develop Bitcoin.

Martial Mialmi https://twitter.com/marttimalmi. His account on forum is sirius.
Gavin Andresen with a biggest ever Bitcoin faucet (in bitcoin amount) https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/get-5-free-bitcoins-from-freebitcoinsappspotcom-183

and more.
