I think memecoins are always speculative. These coins do not need any reason for their price to rise.

One of the factors is the hype made by a popular person like Elon Musk. You can see the price of Dogecoin always increases whenever Elon Musk tweeted good things about meme coins. But when Elon Musk didn't post anything about meme coins or even tweeted bad things about them, the price tends to decrease. So, it is clear that meme coins also need reasons to increase their values.
