I would have expected Mozilla to be one of the pioneers in accepting bitcoins.
But as they say, better late than never.

I've tried donating BTC to Mozilla.. But u couldn't find how..! It only shows fiat ways to donate.. Can someone help?

https://sendto.mozilla.org/page/content/give-bitcoin/

This is ultimately taking me to coinbase page, which is not a good payment method. Payment address must be shown within mozilla.org.
Coinbase is reputable enough so they can be trusted to ultimately provide funds to modzilla.

This is how both coinbase and bitpay both process their bitcoin payments for merchants

Surprized it took Mozilla so long to accept Bitcoin, great news that they are accepting it for donations though.

The new release version of Firefox uses Yahoo as the default browser.

Suspect most users will still elect to change back to Google (just for functionality at the moment).

Yeah would be better if FF used more privacy based search engines like Startpage or DuckDuckGo by default.

Is there a list of sites that accept bitcoin as a donation? (nonprofit)

Here's a pretty good list of non profits that accept Bitcoin as a donation:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/irs-501c3-public-charities-that-accept-bitcoin-758674

Some popular examples are the United Way, Wikimedia, Greenpeace, and my personal favorite Gotopless.org.

What we need is a big "donate bitcoin" button on the firefox frontpage so people wonder "what is this" and learn about it.
There are already a lot of people who who about bitcoin (actually much of the US population has at least heard of bitcoin (although may not fully understand it).

I also don't think a lot of people are going to want to learn about a payment method because it is accepted as a way to donate to an internet browser

This was inevitable. They are both open source and cutting edge technlogies.
Glad to hear BTC is getting more attention day by day.

Mozilla and Bitcoin definitely go hand in hand since both are essentially open source technologies.

Just gotta keep up this momentum with all these tech and non profits slowly accepting Bitcoin as donation/payment methods.

Yes, very good idea.
We need many more such big ''sites'' to accept bitcoin.
Only in this way bitcoin can become more popular in the public and mainstream eventually.

Just wrote my first article for this site about Mozilla and their decision to accept Bitcoin payment.
