I would have expected Mozilla to be one of the pioneers in accepting bitcoins.

Yeah would be better if FF used more privacy based search engines like Startpage or DuckDuckGo by default.

What we need is a big "donate bitcoin" button on the firefox frontpage so people wonder "what is this" and learn about it.
There are already a lot of people who who about bitcoin (actually much of the US population has at least heard of bitcoin (although may not fully understand it). I also don't think a lot of people are going to want to learn about a payment method because it is accepted as a way to donate to an internet browser

Mozilla and Bitcoin definitely go hand in hand since both are essentially open source technologies.
Just gotta keep up this momentum with all these tech and non profits slowly accepting Bitcoin as donation/payment methods.

We need many more such big ''sites'' to accept bitcoin.
