Yeah.  Don't forget it's P@55w0rd, not p@55w0rd.   Cheesy

Now it works!
Definitely a problem on their side.

Balance looks ok.

Even very long passwords with non-alphanumeric characters work fine.

There is a lockout after 10 wrong login attempts (said MagicalTux on IRC).  Don't know how long this lockout lasts.

Best of luck..

I had a long password and couldn't login. This may indeed be the pattern.

For those unable to login try copying and pasting the password into the box instead of typing it.

Ya know, I think it might be completely okay to resubmit a claim, and change the password during that.
But don't do that until someone else verifies it will work.

I have a giant password, looks just like a BTC transfer address only twice as long.

are you guys using the right username? it's not your email.
Yes - I used the username at the Forgot login form - and that worked.

Anyway - if someone else has the same problem, maybe we'll check what we have in common.  Did you have a long password?  After all the security hopla I devised mine to be 17 characters.   Did you have two accounts at mtgox with the same email?  Did you have a substantial balance at your account?
Yes, i have a 20 character long password. I only have one account. I had 396$.

This is really strange - I've tried this password recovery, replaced the password and tried to login again - the same failure.  Now, before starting a full paranoia, I am thinking that maybe they have some MySQL database that truncates the password I am entering or something.  Unfortunately I cannot get another password recovery chance it says it is sending the email with a new password recovery key - but nothing new arrives, the first recovery email was there in seconds.

Same with me, i did a password reset and still cant login. If we go live and i cant access that piece of shit, im going to be really pissed off!

A "forgot password" link is now on the claim.mtgox.com/status.html page.  Sends an e-mail with a password reset link.

I was getting an incorrect password error when trying to login to my account.  I had to reset my password.

Now I can login and see my balance.  All systems go!

Lol don't forget your capital letter in the password.  That frustrated me for a few minutes before I checked the paper I wrote it on.

If this helped feel free to help a brutha out below Wink

They confirmed my account but I seem to have forgot my new passowrd. That is the issue. Which in a normal, professional company is no issue as they can reset it within minutes

Hmmm...  it MIGHT have been easier last week to just say, this is gonna take awhile....   We'll definately be open by the end of June, and then if things went better than expected, surprise us - as opposed to the silly another 24 hour delay...  and the latest 12 hours...  lol...  we've all been GOXED

Yet it may take hours for Mt. Gox to help you out.
At what point did you think you were dealing with a "normal, professional company" in Mt. Gox?
What did it for you?  Their over-the-top web design?  Advanced trading tools?  Sophisticated, deep market?

They're not Citibank.  Either they've taken off with the money and all of this is meant as a stall tactic, or (my guess) they're flogging their fingers off trying to completely overhaul their system.  If you think their responsiveness has been or is unacceptable, take your business to one of the "normal, professional" exchanges.
