Twitter i do believe i heard something about it being put in the API as well
It's been confirmed multiple times actually, the owner confirmed it on twitter, it was mentioned in an official statement and also it was confirmed on facebook.
But with all the outages, court orders and sueings, it's not going to happen anytime soon probably.
