Doesn't this prop the price up?  People are selling their dollars, then transferring their bitcoins.  What good is a dollar... if you are unable to withdraw it?

After the Dwolla account was shut down, US customers are likely clearing out their Bitcoins ASAP.

This will cause a massive crash of the Bitcoin price.

What crash if most US people have to buy bitcoins to transfer them to other exchanges. Price at mtgox would rather rise fast.

Why does everyone seem to believe that when mtgox goes down that its a ddos attack?  This was just a convenient excuse by mtgox to cover their incompetence.  " oh no!  Those scary hackers are at it again!". Maybe, just maybe, its down because the crappy infrastructure at mtgox can't handle their own traffic.

I feel better now that I've transferred my coins out.

If everybody is doing this now, no wonder the site is down...!

Is this the end of Mt.Gox?

Is domain registered in US ?!!

it doesn't matter if the domain was registered in the us. they've still seized domains registered outside the us. ie: bodog.com

With perseverance I was able to withdraw my bitcoins, 28 of them.  It took me 16 minutes of waiting a long time after each entry into the web page.

I can see my coins on the blockchain.

This is clearly caused by a DDOS or high traffic.

If the domain or server were seized, we would not see trading still happening.

Calm yourselves, people  Grin
