I'm sticking with coinbase and bitstamp for now.  Hope Dwolla can somehow beat this.

All this does is confirm that I have terrible timing.  I transfered $130 from CampBX to MtGox at 10am this morning.  Oh well, the silver lining is that illegal immigration and domestic terrorism in the US must have been eradicated, since homeland security has time to address Mutum Sigillum handling my money.  Hooray, USA!  Smiley

This would explain the price fall, if the US government wants to severely disrupt bitcoin this is a good way to do it, make it difficult to convert US dollars to bitcoins.

It won't stop the rest of the world or cash transactions but will certainly make it more difficult to get into bitcoins in the USA.

Anyone know why the DHS stepped in to freeze Mt. Gox's Dwolla accounts?  There should be a court order that has reasoning in it right?

http://www.businessinsider.com/dwolla-mt-gox-2013-5

"Homeland Security's reason for interfering here is unclear" and "Needless to say, Dwolla users will be anxiously awaiting Homeland Security's reasoning for today's actions."

Meanwhile, the price of BTC is in free fall on Gox and there is almost a minute of trading delay. Thanks for nothing, DHS.

Edit: too late to agree with me - it's all changed. Sudden price spike and the lag is down to half a minute. All still DHS-induced, I imagine.
