Yes,Bitstamp is a good choice-it's stable, good for trading. It's also quite fast and you don't have to wait that much when you make a transaction.
Why is mt.Gox 760 right now and Bitstamp 709? why is there a huge difference?

You might never get the money out of MtGox, thats why.
Monthly withdrawal delays are reported

MTGox is like dead. Their bank accounts are seized, limited.
BTC China is like dead(will be closed in 30 days)
CoinBase= based USA(no license) and it will closed in the following months
BitStamp = still in business(a matter of time until their bank account will be closed). I think they will resit more than other exchangers.

Oh my, mayax, you are spreading FUD here as well?!  Shocked

Anything wrong to say facts?
Were not MT GOX's bank accounts closed/seized? Many people are reporting months of delay when they withdrawn.
Is it not CoinBase in USA and it's working without license?
Is it not BTC China almost closed(they will in 30 days) under the new China Bank terms?

Where is the so called FUD?

It is called FUD for a reason. Your facts are only partially right  Smiley

Hey, I want to start buying and selling some bitocoins, is Mt.Gox the way I should go?
Definitely not.
Try bitstamp or localbitcoins instead.

Haha, yeah, avoid Mt.Gox. what country are you in? Bittylicious is probably my favourite. Simple layout and easy and quick to get your coins. You need to prove you have a decent supply of coins if you want to sell on there though.

I found btc-e to be the best. Money can take a while to be credited to your account if its a wire transfer but its the cheapest and you can trade the other alts

Thanks for the Replies, Mt.Gox is out of the picture, I'm going to go with Bitstamp, thanks again!
Yea, we see complains about Mt.Gox and BTC-e every single day out here. Never heard a single negative comment about Bitstamp.
Again, I thank the community for keeping me straight and to not screw up, I'm going to submit my verification information soon, seems like it takes 1-3 days to verify?

Some takes a few days. Some take a week. The longest I have seen here is 10 days.

I have been using coinbase and its been super smooth.  it took me only a few days to get a verified account as opposed to mt.gox took me over two weeks.  I have lightly funded my account on mt. gox so i have not tired to withdraw, but looking at their site it doesn't seems to be a smooth processes.   Look at coinbase.com

Any reason why? It's like saying "Don't use Mt.Gox because I said so". You are also more of a new guy...

Though his answer is not satisfactory, he is right.

This is a thread about MtGox withdrawal delays, and you can find a lot of sad story there. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/mtgox-withdrawal-delays-gathering-179586
Example 1: This guy initialed a withdrawal June, and didn't received it at the end of Nov.

Example 2: This guy has been waiting since Sept.
