same story today ......
That suck big time, there's huge jumps 45, 35, 45, ... all happening in a minute or two, but lag is killing the whole thing...
I tried to put a buy order in when looking at the number of bids at $35, but as soon as I put the order in (and still pending) the price crashed again.
My order hasn't executed (now way above market price). It's impossible to trade like this when you're looking at data that could, potentially, be half an hour old or more.

Sell Bitcoins --> Market Order.
I did. Put in a market order to sell at $42, by the time it executed the order went through at $38. Price is bouncing around $34 to $35 right now so things turned out all right, but who knows? Could be $30 or $40 in seconds at this rate.

The price is bouncing between $37 and $40 right now as orders are worked through. It's simply unviable as a trading platform at the moment.

One of my orders just went though, with bitcoin's price falling $3 since I set the order. Took 30 minutes to execute.

with lag times this long, they should halt trading. The lack of information is now so acute that it endangers the system. If you can handle the trade volume, they should halt. Not lets a damn of un-cancellable orders pile up behind it.
Every minute, the lag is increasing by a minute... 
My orders have been pending for 15 minutes. Still no action from MtGox.
