I don't think it's the hotwallet that's empty, that gives an error when trying to withdraw. I'm able to withdraw, but nothing showing on the blockchain. Likely due to freshly minted coins being sent to gox and needing 100 transactions before they can be sent.

Had a BTC withdrawal not going through yesterday. Opening a support tickelt helped.

The fact that all withdrawals with Mt.Gox now go through an obviously bumpy process made me really nervous.

I reduced my Mt.Gox balance down to .12 BTC

If you try to push the tx on blockchain.info yourself, you will get "invalid signature" . Their support is a joke. What i get is an automated reply saying they will escalate this to developers team.....

Right.... by developers team, they mean Mark.

Another thing I've heard is that some miners direct their payouts to their Mt Gox accounts, which results in Mt Gox's hotwallet filling up with unspendable-for-100-block outputs and at least a few months ago their code wasn't smart enough to avoid attempting to use those unspendable outputs in withdrawals. Maybe they've fixed it by now.

Maybe.

Back in 2011 they failed by having too much stored in their hot wallet, which allowed a hacker to steal it.

So they started keeping more of their user's coins in cold storage, which means that somebody has to manually walk a transaction across the air gap when the hot wallet runs out.

That somebody is probably Mark, and if he's sleeping or eating lunch, or taking the day off, you're probably SOL for a while.

Has anyone withdrawn btc from MtGox in the past 24hrs? Did you receive your btc? or is the transaction even broadcast or seen on blockchain.info?

Has it been like this recently?

Fiat money withdrawal delays are due to regulation but BTC too ? whats taking them so long?
