That they will not confirm on deny that allegation.

Basically, that is a confirmation. If they had no intention of adding LTC then:
- They would deny it
- There would not be a ticker with LTC info behind the scenes
- They would be ignoring a large potential profit due to LTC's growing volume.

I think this is legit the more I think about it, however, I cannot estimate a LTC addition timeframe.

Re: LTC price driven by Mt. Gox announcement...i don't think so. LTC went over 1 USD last night before the announcement.

I can't wait until tomorrow when this is false and litecoin will go down to being free LMAO

I also makes sense as alot of people will but cheaper coins for the 'doubling up factor'.

Litecoin can double in value three times and still be lower than $10 each, the same can't be said for Bitcoin.

Why would mt.gox not want to cash in on a new emerging market which does not even need much new R&D to implement into there already existing system?

Someone has clearly added these tickers at MtGox, if an incorrect pair is used you get an error :
