I made the mistake of trying to withdraw USD from mtgox a few months ago. I'll never try that again.

How long does your withdrawal eventually take?

Guys, you should really stay away from gox...

Yeah, no shit. Somebody please link me to where somebody has said something positive about using mt gox, because I haven't seen any.

I can't really understand why mtgox is still in business.
Why would you sell your bitcoin there if you need to wait for months for your USD?
Why would you buy your bitcoin there if you are paying 100+ USD more for each btc?

I can't understand it either. People need to just ditch it alltogether.

I believe people are ditching it but it was the largest btc exchanger not so long ago.

Many people still have their funds trapped there.

I know a lot of people have stuck withdrawals.

But the problem is, who is still trading btc there?
At the moment of posting, I can see "Vol:7060 BTC" on mtgox webpage, are those fake trades?

Don't ever try to withdraw fiat currency from mtgox, it's not worth it. You should rather get your bitcoins and sell them on localbitcoins.com or a similar website.

How about recent days? After submitting a new bank account, it seems taking more than two weeks. Other exchange validates any banks within 2 days.  Sad They don't even show estimate time (just "immediately" or such.)

Hello all,

Has anyone successfully validated a Dwolla account for withdraw purposes?

I made it through the rather long (~18,000) wait list to become verified, and can now input funds via Dwolla.  In a cruel twist of irony, getting verified to get your funds out of Mt. Gox via Dwolla is a completely separate procedure.  I've been waiting for quite a while, and was just wondering how long other people had to wait before they were able to withdraw funds via Dwolla.

Thanks!

It says at the top of the screen what place you are in the queue.  I started at at 22000 a couple of days ago and already down to 17000 so may just take a couple of weeks or less.    But this verification is so I can use Dwolla.  I had to submit Drivers License and utility bill.  I don't know about validating a bank account and thought you just had to do wire transfer for that, at least if you are in the USA. I don't know about Europe.

I'm still waiting too, just for 3 days for now, but the pain in the ass is that you have to wait for everything in mtgox...
I'm thinking about selling bitcoins on localbitcoins.com... I don't know what's the best way to sell them... But mtgox is indeed slow.
