Sad, but not really surprising.

I set up an account there and ran about 50 cents worth of Reddcoin in and back out to see if it would work.  It did, but being the cynical type I bookmarked the site with the idea of coming back and seeing what their  track record looked like after a month or two...     I guess in this case being cynical was a good thing...

I hope nobody lost too much money to these crooks.    Sad

http://multichain.net/index.php#

That is the link from my logged in account.

This is the link when logged out too, http://multichain.net/

No https , register and input a password over an insecure connection for a bank account?

I have 0 coins in there so I'm not worried. I use long complex random passwords so if they are phishing for passwords the one I used won't work anywhere else.

Oh, and speaking of passwords. haha, this is funny, I normally use 25 character randomly generated passwords from a little bash script, well, when I "registered" I put my 25 character password in, for some reason it didn't ask me to repeat it, like most registrations do, anyway, it said "password too long". lol TOO long. I thought it would say too complex next .

Sorry guys,I don't mean to give you a bad reputation, but I don't want to see anyone lose their money, even if it's not intentional, their password might get stolen in transmission over the insecure http protocol. If you are legit and you want more business you need a good SSL.

I've used the wallet for the last couple of days, seemed to work fine. Until today though. Error message "login failed" when i try to login (i'm 100% sure my login details are correct).

I just hope this is not one of those scam sites again..

EDIT: seems to work again.

do you know how many online wallet / pools got hacked and people lost all coins.

so, find another way to make money

We got our site audited by professionals, with no vulnerabilities found today.

This is just one of those things where I don't WANT to be the early adopter. Will check back in 6 months and see how things are going Smiley

Sure, feel free to check out our interface!

We are also looking for new altcoins to be added, so let us know what to add to our site!

Trust is there to be built up, we start from zero and indeed it's very hard to build trust up.

Nice! So by your estimate: how much money will you make when you shut the site down and take all of the coins? It'd be interesting to know.

No, but seriously. I hope it's not a scam. I never trust online wallets.

I hope that Coinbase eventually offers altcoins, as that's the only one I'd trust.  It's something that's really needed (a multichain wallet of some flavor), but the amount of trust needed for it to be successful is insanely high.

We won't shut down the site, not something we plan to do.
We won't run with people's money either. Multichain is a solution to a problem, not something to make a problem worse Smiley

Hmm... Okay. It's a good idea, but I just want to make sure people know how potentially dangerous it is to leave large amounts of funds on an online service. I'm waiting for a local client like MultiBit or Electrum for popular alt-coins.
