Some platforms like exchange of cryptocurrency or bitcoin platform who do exchange do normally have different types of kyc verification in order to know their customer I believe that all this is to protect the interest of the company not for the interest of anyone but this test of kyc verification it's not supposed to be more than 7 steps or 6 steps.
