Life on a forum is not about how long we can stay and be active as users – but about how much we can give to the forum and other users. Contribution is much more important than total login time or how many years we can be on the forum - but loyalty to stay longer on the forum is certainly an unusual achievement for most users. 10 years is not a short time in this case - but this is not something that is surprising, especially since this forum has become a common place to talk about something about an industry that continues to develop from day to day.
@hopenotlate - congratulations on that, most of us haven't had 10 years as active users yet, but we're on our way.

You started your journey on 3rd December 2013 to see you have spent ten years of your life here. Thank you very much for achieving this ten year milestone. This forum is a place of entertainment where we can fully express our thoughts. Comparing the Bitcoin forum to a newspaper would not be a problem as we can constantly get new updates from here. Wow, what a great anniversary you are celebrating here. It must have taken you a very long time and so much effort for you to reach this milestone, and I must say that I appreciate your consistency and contributions to the forum because so many people here have learnt from your contributions in one way or the other. This is a motivation to us who just came into the forum and haven't spent much that here, to be consistent and see the forum as part of our daily life activities, so that we can also celebrate here someday.

First of all, I would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to @hopenotlate for his achievements during his 10 years with this forum. Tbh I am someone who entered this forum when the price of Bitcoin was around $3,000 which is a price where not everyone can afford it. So I'm always amazed at the great people who come into this forum so early on.
And your regrets when Bitcoin reaches $1,000 are people's regrets when Bitcoin reaches $5,000, $10,000 and so on.

It is nice to read part of your journey to Bitcoin and how you ended up at this forum. Well, it certainly was the future more than 10 years ago and here it is Bitcoin is still going strong today (albeit with a much higher price attached).
I wonder how many of those very early year (2009-2011) poker players or other gamblers used Bitcoin when it was worth below $1 and won/loss bets. Some may have held on to their winnings and made a fortune. Others could have lost something worth less than $50 at the time but now worth $millions.
Now, I feel like bitcoin is here to stay. The future as we have heard it called over the years.

I had no expectations of bitcoin when I first came the the forum. I played alot of poker on what was then called seals with clubs now known just as SwC. I heard about the forum and how bitcoin was more than something we could gamble with on poker, so I made an account. Bitcoin then started to change my life.Now, I feel like bitcoin is here to stay. The future as we have heard it called over the years.

You're old time member, but I'm a bit surprised that I don't remember your name and probably I haven't interacted with you before. It's probably because you spend most of time on Italian and Collectibles boards.

Happy 10 years to you @hopenotlate. 10 years is a milestone worth celebrating, especially since you are an active user who posts regularly. Not sure how many users who registered their accounts in 2013 still post regularly today, but my guess is there aren't many of them anymore. Many users have left for any reasons, in fact we never know how many users have left the forum due to Covid or previous difficult times. I hope you will stay longer and enjoy it. I am also happy to be here, who will turn 6 in March next year.
Congratulations @hopenotlate 10 years is not a small period and that you were able to continue to survive is something unique. I think that when you registered here the price was around $300 and now it is $44,000.
Now the price is no longer at $44,000, but at $40k.

It's funny that yesterday it was was my 6th birthday in Bitcointalk forum, so I guess I have to prepare for next year when I am going to school.
Time flies so fast, but this was/is one heck of a ride for sure.
