No i used SSD cause it is much faster then HDD because when i was building this i restarted my rig a lot of times and i didnt want to waste my time waiting for my Windows and all programs to boot but you can use HDD its up to you. I forgot to mention that SSD is using less power then HDD because there is no moving part inside.

For the power usage i dont know because i will need to take all the GPU to measure that.

And with the last question are you asking me for PCI Risers
Here is the link from PCI Risers https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073LNKTBD/ref=as_li_ss_tl?tag=buriedone-20&ie=UTF8&linkCode=sl1&linkId=0a10c1123b37e255d16afc6d740830d7

If this is not what you was asking can you explain because English is not my 1st language

thanks man that was it, when u have some info on the total power usage I would love to hear back from you and good luck again!

If you would like to mine Ethereum with special equipment the first investments of yours will reach the point to 1500-2000USD. If you haven’t so much money then the only way is mining through the pool.

i did not understand this

are you saying that i can do same MH/s for 2000 usd

Hi this is my first mining rig that i build so i just want to ask you guys what do you think about my rig. Iam planing to build one more with 8 GPUs if i can find the same one Cheesy
Iam using Windows 10 PRO 64 bit and Iam mining on Claymore miner on ethmine.org pool. I was thinking to switch to Simple Miner but so far everything is good so i will keep mining on Windows. The only problem that i had during this build was the faulty Riser.
So here is some pictures from my rig and my config on the pictures you will see only 5 GPU that is because i had some problem with the seller. But i ordered one more and it one the way should be here in like one or two days Cheesy

http://prntscr.com/hsljnd
http://prntscr.com/hsljwb
http://prntscr.com/hslk1w
http://prntscr.com/hslk7l

So this is what i have
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A
CPU: Intel Celeron C3900
RAM: PNY Anarchy X 8GB
SSD: Kingston 120GB
PSU: EVGA 1000 GQ
PSU2: EVGA 650 GQ
GPU: 5x(for now) Sapphire NITRO+ RX 580 8GB (Samsung Memmory)

I modded the bios setting for this cards and here is my overclocking
http://prntscr.com/hsldar
http://prntscr.com/hsldgk

The temperature is around 50C with fan speed around 70%
http://prntscr.com/hsle3i

And my Hash Rate is around 31MH/s
http://prntscr.com/hslenp
http://prntscr.com/hsllsq

My Power consumption is around 820KW/h on this picture is around 840KW/h because i hooked up my monitor on the same plug
http://prntscr.com/hslkfr

So is there anything that i can change to improve .
PS Iam using Wireless adapter

Hi, very nice first post!

Your next mission is to learn about undervolting

Have a look at MSI Afterburner and/or OverdriveNTool

Looking really good!

Here are few questions.
Have you flashed any of your cards?
What drivers are you using? AMD Crimson block chain or regular newest drivers? As with the same card on my system I cant reach the speeds close to yours using regular non block chain drivers.
Did you work on specific windows settings?

Yes i flashed all of them i copy timing from 1:1750 and paste it on 1:2000

Here is the driver that iam using http://prntscr.com/hsyc8d

And i used this to tweak my windows https://mega.nz/#!8gZzjQaa!Dt4wE0WEo8nZkui_-cAAXL4mb4YlO6CJgFZTXKq9pnQ

and also i increased my Virtual Memory
INCREASE VIRTUAL MEMORY
In search type “This PC“, right click on it and choose “Properties“
Then click on “Advanced System Settings“
On “Advanced” tab where it says “Performance” click on “Settings“
Click “Advanced” tab
At the bottom you will see “Virtual memory“, click on “Change“
1. Uncheck “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives“
2. Check “Custom size“
3. In the “Initial size (MB)” type: 16000 (or directly 16000)
4. In the “Maximum size (MB)” type: 20000 (or more like 20k)
5. Click “Set” , then “OK” and “Apply“
Restart the rig

Do your gpus show any memory errors? Try to check using HWiNFO64 app.

What were the steps you were following when flashing gpus? Did you first save the bios of individual card and then modded it again individually or saved a single card bios and then flashed the other cards? I got a problem where I have used a bios of a single card and flashed over the other cards and some cards are throwing out many errors.

I was doing 1 card at a time and i modded every bios one by one. I didnt not use one bios for all of them i modded all the bioses .
Yes i have a lot of memory errors around around 250 000 in 24 Hours but my system never crashed

I was thinking to switch to Simple Miner but so far everything is good so i will keep mining on Windows.

The great thing is you can try it for free on Simple Mining OS. And also great you can put on USB drive and test out.   I would test it out for 2 dollars a month it is a bargain.  I have switched any rig with more density to it.  Once you get rig groups set up to possible coins you will mine you will love it.   Although if your mining straight Ethereum at all times you will not benefit from this feature to much.

I still have a few rigs on windows but on new rigs I don't even order a SSD and go straight to Simple OS on usb stick and save just a little with doing this.

Good and welcome to mining community :v

so, why you say Ethereum Mining Rig?
You only mining Ethereum with 121 TH/s Net Hash?
haha, why you forget others altcoin?

Well iam mining only Ethereum, iam new to this but maybe i will switch later on to mine something else and i think that ETH price will go up in the future iam not looking in selling it now

If you mine ethereum, the power used is quite high. You can try to mine monero or cryptonight ranges of coins, they are less power demanding.
