If the OP installs and performs a virus scan on the device without reinstalling the device, will the hacker still have access to the device?

I still cannot figure out how he got access. I have webroot antivirus installed on my PC. My BTT password is the strongest password I have ever created and I have never signed up on any other platform with the same password. From the IP, I have found the account was hacked from Pakistan. I will try install malwarebyte and run system scan for possible malware especially the "Backdoor.teamviewer.trace"

I also saw logins into one of my servers using a godaddy api key that only existed on the server, that pointed to someone logging in from Oregon.
You should consider a different ISP or VPN provider? Avoid windows OS? I'd like to know the best practices as well.

Did you clicked in any suspicious link that sent you to a "Look alike" of this forum? Bear in mind that if you use this password in other accounts/websites you should consider changing it immediately... No one knows what kind of information did the hacker obtained and thus all defenses should be up. I also highly advise you to run a full AV scan or a Malwarebytes scan prior to changing passwords in other websites you may use so that you may be certain that you're safe (or at least erase that possibility out of your list).
