Most especially when you are investing long term. I would say the best thing to do is always to have patience and never to get greedy just as you have said it. If we take a good example of what happened last year, that should not have been warranted, but due to the fact that some people fell for the FOMO out of greed, they are wallowing in self-pity now.

For the fact that some due to the reason of they could not even understand their investment, they instead panicked and sold out at loss, or feel they are doomed already. It is a long term investment and I wonder why people are looking at the short term.

My advice when investing in the cryptocurrency market is that you have to find out thoroughly about the project you want to invest. Do you have to predict that the project has potential in the future? Or what team has developed that project (such as the origin of the founding team), .. You learn as many aspects as possible. These are the criteria that will help you succeed.

Why Invest in Cryptocurrencies And Why Not?

In my opinion there're some major good reasons to invest in cryptocurrencies. First, because you want to hedge your net-worth against the fall of the Dollar imperium, which is assumed by many people to inevitably happen at some time. Second, because you support the social vision behind cryptocurrencies – that of a free and hard money for the whole world. Third, because you understand and like a new technology.

However, there are also very bad reasons to invest in cryptocurrencies. Many people fall victim to the hype surrounding every cryptocurrency-bubble. There is always somebody captured by FOMO (fear of missing out), buying massively in at the peak of a bubble, just in hope to make quick money, while not understanding cryptocurrencies at all. That’s a bad reason. Don’t do this. Learn before you invest and be aware that cryptocurrencies can be very risky.

The former only crypto has been Bitcoin. Up until late 2016 Bitcoin was the cryptocurrency, and there was not much besides it. Not all are good to invest in ICO because other Crypto from the ICO are going down and stay in the lower value.
For me it's better to invest in bitcoin and other altcoins that had a great potential and hold it for long term.

Investing in crypto can be as great as it happens overnight,as well as if there is a lose,then it'll have to go by the way.I'm talking about Btc in all cryptos.The price of Btc is now less,so invested in the right time.

A person invested in 2013 and sold his Bitcoins in 2017 earned a lot from his investment made him billionaire that gives us an example to choose Bitcoin for long term investment will result in a huge outcome. I do not think I need to rush to invest in a particular crypto, the most important is to learn well, recognize the developer, the system, and also the technology, because I do not think we should invest into something that we have not really known. There are how many people see and are motivated by what you give in this thread. I really like everything and catch my attention, deserve samples and do what people want to do in the crypto world.

Your massive submission in clear terms is very comprehensive and appreciative because it gives a clear concept of adopting and investing into Cryptos strategy and rationality. However, I feel oblige to also cheap in that RISK in its own agony must also be given due consideration when trading or investing into any Cryptos because of the volatility they are wearing. In other word, apart from taking up any cryptos that commensurate with your age and stage of life, you should not invest what you feel you can not afford to loose  

my advice is to invest in stocks to use Fundamental and Technical Analysis in deciding which crypto to buy. And actually many people who use the analysis tool to do the valuation of a crypto. For me personally, this method is irrelevant, because the shares are released by companies that have IPO, and the logic of companies that have successfully IPO is a company that has mature and stable, both in income and management.
