I once had over 18k, but that was until my investor screwed me. I now have 0.
Damn, that sucks hard. I hope those LTC were acquired in the sub dollar, low cent value ranges? Otherwise you got screwed really bad. You have no interest in restoring some of that bag?
Not really. I can tell you the story.
I started to work with a russian investor back in the late (before the pump in November) 2013 when I convinced him to buy 6 GPU's and we started to mine Litecoin (about 1.5 LTC/day). Then I saw Fedora (TIPS) and I thought it will have a very good future. I was able to mine between 130 and 180 million coins/day with my 2.7 MH hashrate and I was happier to sell them for 1-2 litoshi on CoinedUp (when it was listed). Then there were MOON, EARTH, NOBLE (can't really remember all
). When TIPS was listed on Cryptsy, I had about 250 LTC and several hundred million TIPS. We had a chat on CoinEx trollbox and several guys agreed to try push TIPS to a BTC pair. I participated with 127 or 137 LTC, but my "wall" was eaten in like 5 seconds.
TIPS in fact is one of my biggest mistakes in crypto since I accumulated about 3 billion coins, but most of them were sold in the 1-8 litoshi range (the peak on Cryptsy was ~170 litoshi, and you probably know that Fedora was pumped by the chinese few months ago). Anyway, back in March 2014 the russian has agreed to buy scrypt ASICs and I started to research the market. He had one condition though - NO pre-orders. We have send a guy to the KnCMiner office in Stockholm, Sweden, but the guy said that only the cleaner lady there can speak swedish and that they looked shady. Then I have send my cousin to the MAT's (Mining Asics Technologies) office in Maastricht, Netherlands and he first told me that we can buy the ASICs right way. I went crazy since the russian decided to invest 50,000 euro and MAT were selling 200 MH miner for like $11k (if I remember correctly). But then my cousin had a second meeting in the MAT's office and they changed their stance. After that I had several phone talks with the owner (Mark was his name?) and I told him that we were not joking and we are ready to pay 50% more for the miners if we can buy them right away. That never happened and after some time MAT declared bankruptcy. In late April, 2014 I found a guy from Rotterdam, Netherlands (heya, Jeroen!
) who was seling 60MH A2 Terminator's for 6,600 or 6,800 euro. I told him that we can prove that we have the money to buy 7 miners (420 MH), but we first wanted to travel to the Netherlands, see and test the ASICs and then pay. He agreed to order 3 and we aranged a meeting on 19 May, 2014. We travelled to Netherlands with a car, saw the guy, tested the ASICs, had some drinks and travelled back to Bulgaria (I am bulgarian). When we received the remaining 4 ASICs, we were able to mine between $1000 and $1500 worth of crypto in a day. We started a company called Cryptoventures LTD. and the russian was ready to invest millions if I convince him that this is working. Here is when he made a mistake though. He appointed his Forex broker to work with me. The russian offered me 1500 BGN salary (average salary in Bulgaria is about 750 BGN, but if you include our capital (Sofia). Many people in the province are working for 400-500 BGN/month) and 30% of the profits (but after we make ROI of the investment). The broker had the obligations to tell me what and when to buy/sell. My job was to make sure that everything is working and to follow cryptocurrencies (i.e., I was the one who was choosing what to mine). But after several months (and bad results), the broker was fired and I started to work alone. That was until early this year. I told you that my salary was 1500 BGN, but several months after the broker got fired, they started screwing me with my salary. This month I receive 1000, the next one 500 etc.. (they were paying me 500 BGN on every 10 days), so at the end, they owed me 6000 BGN (~$3400). I have then said "Enough" and left them with the miners, coins and everything.
P.S. Here I must say that the russian had nothing to do with my salary. He has many people working for him and one of his bulgarian companies were the ones who were taking care off the "crypto business". So, basically, I was screwed by a fellow bulgarians.
That's it...
