Bitcoin = Financial freedom
Its is so good to see forum members are growing up more faster I mean their merits are higher than the activity points which itself a good achievement though, congratulations for achieving it.

I considered myself evolved a lot in terms of financial knowledge after understanding cryptocurrency and importance of decentralization, now leading a good life in the real world but I am not really concentrated on the merits I just let it come when it has to be, all I am trying to be normal and keep learning new things everyday.

I understand that the journey of bitcointalk is something that come with determination and consciousness, i have overseas other forum users who is emphasising or capitalizing on the altitude of community mate, but i know vividly that some forum newbies always attributes aberrant character in order to fast-forward their obligation in forum through emulations of other higher users...i acknowledge the rapid growth of kingsden to the community, today he has mark another height of rank to the forum, so congrats buddy.. it's good to adopt or emulate the methods of good forum users  especially newbies.. hoping everyone who takes the community serious will have the advantages of growing fast. Ranking up is for everybody.

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
I join you in your joy and achievement.
Thank you, I appreciate.

Congratulations OP, your merits surpassed your activity you had 250 merit and only needed the activity to rank to senior member. I know you will get 500 merits before your activity is enough for hero member. You running fast. I will meet you at the top. Rollbit gang we are doing good  Grin
Thank you @SatoPrincess. I appreciate.

OP, sorry if this went offtopic, congrats on your goal. I hope we will see you soon as Hero.  Wink
Thank you, I am honoured!

Congrats OP on your achievement. Good people will get good returns always. Achieving a higher rank by earning merits isn't an easy task nowadays. But you did it by your contribution. Keep your contribution to the forum and you would discover yourself legendary once a time. Your post would inspire others.
Thank you very much, I will keep trying my best.

I didn't mean to come sound like a pussy at first, but it's always good to take the wrong turn every now and then. With your response, I'm sure you would've cropped him off if his name was first or last on that image.
I am surprised you understood it this way even after my explanation above.That means my English is as bad as being said. Maybe I'll improve soon.
Why crop out his name when the names on the image and the names typed are same? It should show it's a deliberate act of repetition.
Why crop his name when the data can be found in my profile KingsDen bpip
Why crop his name when we aren't quarrelling?
I clearly stated above the reason for deliberately omitting him, and I am happy I got the result.

I'm mostly indifferent to "self-appraisal" threads. I don't think they're needed but if it makes some people feel good, why not.

I am however puzzled as to how the OP managed to earn so many merits for self-indulgent walls-of-text posts that most of the time bring nothing new to threads where they appear. Perhaps some merit senders just assume that a long somewhat-literate post is good enough regardless of its vacuousness. I'm starting to yawn about two paragraphs into KingsDen's posts so I can never finish them.

This is a discussion forum, not an essay forum or a lullaby forum. And what's with all the "@". This is not facetwit. Don't summon people unless there is something actually important they must attend to.

That's exactly what it is. We need a thread where everyone can post their yippie I made it to blah blah crap vs everyone making a single post.

There is a thread to post nice merit numbers:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/save-your-nice-merit-records-here-last-update-13042024-5251894

There is one of post numbers too I think.

You are not the first to create a celebration thread; will probably not be the last as well. I guess there was a thread where the creator of that thread was trying to collect the celebration thread; haven't seen that recently though. Don't take this personally; most of us don't use the search option. I'm not excluding myself as well from the list. For instance; if you had used the search option, you wouldn't create the thread.
People will find it hard to find the celebration thread and create their own in the future. Again, someone will point out we need a thread & someone will create the thread; maybe someone will point out we have 2 existed threads. I have seen this chain in bitcointalk numerous times on different issues.

I do not really understand some of your phrases. But I quite understood some.
I initially did not want to discuss the reason I omitted @The Pharmacist in OP, but since you came up with a wrong chronicle, I really need to come in here.
  • During my newbie rank, I called @The Pharmacist my 24/7 help line.
  • During my full member, I called him the helper of lower-ranking members
  • @The Pharmacist is the user I have mentioned most in this forum
  • A time came, @The Pharmacist said he blocked me from sending him Pm for a sin I did not commit
  • @The Pharmacist also said he will no longer send merits to me,
............]
I'm surprised by your response; I'm not a fan of this type of discussion, but when I saw it was you, I decided to chime in, and I was surprised to see that you omitted the Pharmacist Despai him being the second on the list, so I assumed it was a mistake until I read his response to you.

I didn't mean to come sound like a pussy at first, but it's always good to take the wrong turn every now and then. With your response, I'm sure you would've cropped him off if his name was first or last on that image. This is an appreciation post; no one asked for it, but since you've already written it, make it a good one.

Keep up the good work!

Congrats on getting to Sr. Member.  That's not an easy feat these days, but why these horn-tooting threads keep popping up is puzzling to me.  The easiest explanation is that they're attempts to quickly earn merits, but someone please kick me if I'm being too cynical.
That's exactly what it is. We need a thread where everyone can post their yippie I made it to blah blah crap vs everyone making a single post.

Even though creating a single thread to post all rank achievements, but still most of the users will create a new one. Usually, we just want to share  & express our feelings with the community. Posting in a single thread wouldn't draw much attention. I am not against creating a thread by the way.

Congrats OP on your achievement. Good people will get good returns always. Achieving a higher rank by earning merits isn't an easy task nowadays. But you did it by your contribution. and I've always wondered if it makes sense to celebrate around such a trivial thing as forum rank upgrade is.
No, as one of the users who came after the merit system was introduced then the celebration of ranking up was something that couldn't be taken lightly for us. You could say it's trivial because you're an old member who no longer needs merit and hard work to rank up, but it's the other way around for us who have to exhaust our brains and work hard to make it happen. Shouldn't you feel natural for anyone who managed to move up the rank after the merit system was introduced to celebrate?

I don't know if I'll do it again in the future, but I've had one before. If indeed the forum forbids us with a rule about no celebratory thread then we really have to stick with it. Of course this is not an attempt to disprove your point of view, but I just wanted to have an opinion.

but I never wanted to obscure and spoil the celebration.
That's what we expect from old members like you. Even if you don't completely agree with the idea of this celebration then you shouldn't be too cynical about what we do as a celebration. It might be good for us to have one dedicated thread for rank up celebrations so thread like the OP's no longer exist in the future.

OP, congratulations to you.

@examplesns, we have it now. Celebrate your rank up here [Junior Member - Legendary]

Celebrating making Legendary is about all I would consider an achievement. This shows you most likely have a good knowledge about the forum, have likely tried to contribute to the forum, and in most cases have earned 500-1000 merits.

The merit system being introduced really wasn't as big a deal as people made it. Yes it made it harder for shitposters to rank up, but those who weren't just hanging out in the discussion boards trying to make their sig campaign quota, didn't have an issue earning merits.

I'm not against a celebration for things, but for ranking up to anything other then Legendary is just ridiculous. It's not that hard. The reason people cry and were upset about merits is they bought accounts and could get the old activity just by posting and rank it up.

When you make something seem hard, it becomes hard for you because you've trained your brain to think it's now nearly impossible.

Ok I won't post here again, but users need to read this post.

This is repeated many times. I've hit the OP many times with similar questions. His false gratitude showed its true colors today. That he omitted your name is a good example of his "sincerity" In every post, I see his admiration and mention of your nickname. He was hoping for your indulgence, reversing the fact, that you once said that you would no longer pay attention to his posts. However, the OP didn't give up. But today he expressed his "FI "
I would like to ask all the new members who have risen in rank, how many have you seen similar posts from old-timers? Why so much vanity? Modesty is not your vice? Grin
But since there is a topic, I also congratulate.

  • You are right that during this period he allegedly blocked me and stopped visiting my profile, I was still being grateful to him
In this post I deliberately omitted his name. Yes, it wasn't an attempt to take him off the picture, assuming it was, I wouldn't have uploaded an image that still has his name.
I did it to be sure I wasn't bugging him with my continous thanks, admiration and excessive mentioning of his name everywhere in the forum.
After I made the post, I sat back and watched. When he came in as the first reply.

I honestly had a better chuckle over here.
I was honestly convinced that no matter how ignored my thanks to you might appear outwardly, deep down, you honestly appreciate.
It will interest you to know that as opposed to your assumption, I didn't consider whatever happened in the Newbie contest. It was not actually a serious contest. If I should consider anything, it should be that you were being honest to yourself.

Obviously your feelings were hurt by my post made in this newbie-of-the-year thread, and it wasn't my intention to do that, but given what the thread was about I felt I had to be honest--and I was.  After reviewing that particular post of yours that I merited, I found it to be....subpar.  It isn't that I think you're a shitposter or that you aren't a valuable member of bitcointalk in the making, but someone who's going to be considered "newbie of the year" shouldn't be making any posts like this one, which is nearly incomprehensible.

◇ A Thankful Heart
◇ My journey so far
◇ My advice to lower-ranked members

◇ A Thankful Heart
There is a saying that a thankful heart is a magnet for miracles. That is the reason I will not stop being grateful.
I am grateful to a user here who introduced me to this great forum. He wish not to be mentioned.
I am sincerely thankful to the users below for deeming my posts fit to issue their merits.
It is important that I thank you because no matter how good a user is, if merit is not issued, his/her growth in the forum would be impeded and/or stunted.
@CryptopreneurBrainboss
@fillippone
@DdmrDdmr
@Ratimov
@1miau

@LoyceV
@vapourminer

These users were also acknowledged by me in my member rank appreciation, yet they are still supporting me till date. I therefore urge them not to reduce their support at this time I need it most. I also thank other users of the forum who impacted me by teaching, by constructive criticism and words of encouragement.

◇ My journey so far
Today is my seven months and few days in the forum. I joined the forum when a user saw my social media posts about cryptocurrencies that were not getting attention. I his words, he said "You are wasting your data and knowledge on Facebook, I want to introduce you to a forum that you can earn while discussing bitcoin " Then on getting to the forum, I discovered something more than earning, and that is learning. As I was learning, I was growing in the forum and in knowledge. My journey to senior member was faster than I imagined. It was not without some challenges though. But in all of the cases I was vindicated. I thank all who believed me, especially @NotATether my boss.

◇ My advice to lower-ranked members
This forum is not polarised, as some members sometimes allege. The interest might differ but the goal is absolute and unbiased.
Yet, the forum is an two edged sword.
If you want to be a good user, the forum will help you become one.
If you want to be a bad user, the forum will aid you too.
But My Advice is:
  • For you to gain from the forum, you must be able to give to the forum or show clearly without a doubt that you will be able to give to the forum in the future
  • For you to give to the forum, you must discover your core essence (what you are good at), develop same and use it to help the forum.
◇ My obligation
I pledge that I will be a good user of this forum;
I will help newbies to understand this forum and show them the right way to be useful to the forum;
I will continue to add to the forum in my own little ways to ensure this great forum lasts for us as long as bitcoin will.

I am overwhelmed! I am franked! Grin I have the reaffirmation today that I am a member of bitcointalk forum by my current status. Snr member rank is a unique rank, if you doubt me, check @Satoshi profile and tell me his rank.
Thank you everyone.
The journey has just begun!
~KingsDen.
