Sorry to hear your case mate but it's just you choose a very untrusted platform. Actually never heard of that, so entrusting my coin on an unknown or never heard exchange would be a big NO to me cause the chances of having a situation like this could occur anytime. So this is what happened already, anyway just lick which platform to use from now on and don't put too much money you don't need on an exchange just to be safe.

Anyways, that's why I hate crypto.. too much unstabilities and scam artists everywhere.. I will never get into crypto again...
I can't stop myself from replying to this thread, this isn't expected from a crypto user. I am sorry for your loss, but it doesn't happen by crypto itself. How do you save your fiat money? Will you leave your fiat currency for a long time to an unknown person? Do you believe he will return you? You always secure your fiat money with high security. But left crypto in the worst centralized exchange. The exchange scam you, it's not a problem of ETH. You just failed to secure your fund. You were careless actually about your crypto, now it's become worth too much, and you blaming crypto.

OP, I will request you to learn more about cryptocurrency. It's not about all scams and making profits. You should learn the use of cryptocurrency and most important is how can you secure your funds. There are a lot of non-custodial wallets including hardware wallets where you can securely store your cryptocurrency. There is no issue even you store it for a long time. Please spend more time studying cryptocurrency, reading forum threads, and learning.

This story is some how astonished because i believe the staff in the exchange that is communicating with you knows how your ethereum went about, over ten days interval your coin have not reflect back to the initial, just keep trying to communicate with them, and i believe they have another handle or group were people that invest with them comment, just find out and lay your complain, I hope they will not make away with your money since they are starting, except their primary obligation is to scam.

Hi,

I have depositted some BTC and ETH three years ago to a crypto currency exchange called "CoinPark" (https://www.coinpark.com). I haven't logged in a while but I just logged in a couple of weeks ago and my ETH was still there. It is 2.1513ETH. This is equivalent with 9,713.635812 USD as of today's rate. Now, I am trying to withdraw it to Binance, but when I tried, system gives me an error message "the network is unstable, please try again later."

Initially I thought my operation is wrong, and contacted support (). They just sent me a reply "Sorry to keep you waiting, I will urge the technicians to check, and I will notify you if there is any news." I waited for days and again, I asked the status. They copy and paste the same message. I replied again, and they modify the message a little bit, but I don't think they are investigating anything. I have been doing this interaction actually for almost ten days. This morning, I found my 2.1513 ETH has disappeared completely from my balance! I guess they have taken my money out of my account and now I do not have any response from support.

By searching CoinPark on the Internet, I do not find much information but I am starting to be positive that they are totally a scam. Since this is an online exchange, located somewhere in China, I guess, there are not much things I could do. I am getting tired of interacting with this support as they seem to be enjoying that they are teasing me, and I am lost what to do next. This is almost 10,000 USD and that is not small money for me. I was just referred to this site, as bitcointalk.org deals with such issues I heard, can someone please help me to solve this problem? What actions can I take next?? If I posted to wrong thread, please forward it to appropriate ones.

Thanks,

They only have 15 likes in their facebook account. Comments we're deleted. And as per the reviews thru https://www.trustpilot.com/review/coinpark.com , they have tagged it as a scam.

I don't have actually any knowledge with crypto but hope it helps.

If you are unable to retrieve your funds, at least you can write this off as a learning experience. We have all been there in one way or another, and yeah, it costs you money, but now you are wiser and smarter for it. Don't let this setback have a negative effect on you, again, now you have learned something that some people learn on a much harder, more costly level. You win plenty, you lose some.

Now, I am trying to withdraw it to ..., but when I tried, system gives me an error message "the network is unstable, please try again later."

When you read such nonsense, it must be clear to you that someone is just trying to keep you as long as possible in the belief that these are just some technical problems. Combined with all the generic answers you get, it's clear that on the other side there is no live support - probably the only thing that still works are deposits for some sucker who will fall into the trap.

By searching CoinPark on the Internet, I do not find much information but I am starting to be positive that they are totally a scam. Since this is an online exchange, located somewhere in China, I guess, there are not much things I could do.

It would be more accurate to say that they turned into a scam, because from what you yourself admit, you had a few successful withdraws from their site. If they are indeed somewhere in China, perhaps the authorities have caught the owner because trading in that country has been banned for years.

In other post, I saw someone was filing a scam case in Singapore Police Dept. Is this a valid approach?

I do not know what the Singapore police can do unless that exchange is under their authority, except perhaps to launch an international investigation in the event that one of their citizens is damaged for some greater amount.

So several years ago when you deposit you managed to withdraw or you did not withdraw before?

I was able to withdraw in August 2018, and also February 2021. So it was working nine months ago. I found some other posts that people could not withdraw crypto. I don't think these people could withdraw, so this is a scam.

A couple of minutes ago, I received an e-mail from support, saying "Sorry to have kept you waiting .we urge the technicians to handle it for you, please wait.". I think they don't seem to read it and just picking a message from template. Below are the messages I received in the last two weeks. They send it every day, but don't really answer my questions (and, sometimes they send the same message).

- "Sorry to have kept you waiting .we urge the technicians to handle it for you, please wait."
- "Sorry for the long wait, we need feedback technical personnel to deal with, please wait patiently"
- "I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. I'll urge the technicians to solve this problem as soon as possible. Please be patient and wait. If there are any updates, I'll contact you immediately."
- "Hello, SORRY to keep you waiting for so long, the specific time is not clear, we will inform you as soon as we receive the latest results."
- "Sorry to keep you waiting, I will urge the technicians to check, and I will notify you if there is any news."
- "Sorry, I have kept you waiting for a long time. Withdrawals are available now. Is your account still unavailable for withdrawals?"
- "We've forwarded it to our Tech team, please be patient and wait for us."

Overall if you are able to withdraw in the past, they may have a problem with this year as coingecko[2] shows Coinpark Is Currently Experiencing Technical Issues That's Affecting Fund Withdrawal.

I hope you can restore your money but remember "not your keys are not your coins" and do not use central platforms as long-term HODLING unless you intend to trade.

You said you deposited BTC and ETH to that exchange 3 years ago, but why do you just try to know that exchange in detail now? Saving 3 years isn't a short time, you are very careless if decide to save your BTC or ETH for a long time in an exchange that you are not really familiar with it.

I was very careful actually, with all these crypto stuff when I started investing three years ago. At that time, at least a lot of tradings were happening in this CoinPark, and some people I know were using. I never thought it was a scam until a couple of weeks ago. Since crypto value crashed three years ago, I lost most of interests, but still I moved my coins to Binance cause I thought they are more stable. At that time the withdrawl was successful. Actually, I logged in again at the beginning of this year (February 2021) to see if there are any additionals (last year value largely increased, and that rise gave me another chance to withdraw one more time). The withdraw was also successful in February.

A couple of weeks ago, I just logged in, to see if there are any additional rises in very minor coins. All of them were not sufficient to withdraw except for ETH, which I was never aware of, because that is in another wallet (I did not know its existence..). Of course it is my fault that I did not notice the existence of Exchange wallet, but I am just trying to get this out.

I am pretty positive that these guys are scam because:
1. They keep sending the exactly same message by copy and paste again and again like they are making fun. If they are legitimate company I don't think they would do that. Also, there is no additional information on progress.
2. I asked them to convert ETH to USDT as I wanted to test if USDT withdrawl works. They told me to place an order myself. So I did it. However, since there is no trading going on, the order never got filled. However in the last two weeks, I tried it a couple of times. I placed an order, and canceled it over and over. This morning, when I canceled my order, next moment, my ETH is gone. It shows 0 ETH. Of course 0 USDT. No withdrawl as well. I think this is removed by someone or how could such weird behavior happen?
3. If it is a valid exchange, this "Coinpark is currently experiencing technical issues that's affecting fund withdrawal." message wouldn't be posted on CoinGecko (https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges/coinpark#about).

Anyways, thanks for your advise, and I would wait for another couple of days.

Thanks,

They’ve got social media channels, so besides persisting with their support, you can always resort to these channels in the odd chance that calling the problem out in public may move them on to taking a look at your claim with hastier speed.

Yes, I saw this site, and sent an e-mail to this "[email protected]" and the (probably) same guy replied with the same message ("Sorry to keep you waiting, I will urge the technicians to check, and I will notify you if there is any news."). This guy responds to my e-mail every single day, but with the similar message. I don't feel we are moving forward.

Yes, I also watched this video. This is scary. Years ago, I was able to withdraw my assets, so I am regretting that I hadn't withdrawn all of my crypto back that time (I had forgotten ETH was still left in another Exchange wallet in my account.. Damn it.

Crypto or Bitcoin at least is actually very stable (in the project design and program) and there are scam artists everywhere on the internet, you could have easily have gotten scammed through this means using fiat.
If you ever change your mind on getting into cryptocurrencies, remember to do your own research. This is one of the most important rules; You are your own bank here and are responsible for all your actions, so research on everything, projects, wallets, exchanges et all.

• Do not trust, verify. There are scams as you said, so view everything as a scan until you can verify its authenticity.

• Not your keys, not your coins; you need to own the private keys of a wallet for it to be yours. If you store your funds on a custodian wallet, then they own it and can choose to block your access to it.

• Take your security serious.

You can't blame chicken if you ate dishes from the worst rated restaurant city and that's how similar you are blaming cryptocurrency because you deposited money into scam exchange.

Before making any financial investment take a deep analysis about the platform because its your money so you can't simply trust because someone told you that you can trust them. I never heard of that exchange so you're probably screwed here and a costly lesson but there are lot of legit exchanges where you can even trust for million dollars. Smiley

On what to do, if they are not responding in the private communication you may need to take it public, this involves finding their social media handles and engaging them publicly.

Thanks for the comments. I just googled and found a profile of "CEO" on LinkedIn. I have sent a private message and will wait for days. This crypto currency exchange seems not to be active any more as there are no tradings are going on. Anyways, I will try to communicate with this person and if I don't get a response, I will research any persons who were involved in this organization.

I was just referred to this site, as bitcointalk.org deals with such issues I heard, can someone please help me to solve this problem? What actions can I take next??
Firstly, the forum does not deal with such issues, all you can get here is advice on what might help.
On what to do, if they are not responding in the private communication you may need to take it public, this involves finding their social media handles and engaging them publicly. You can also check for the LinkedIn profiles of the founders and call then out there. I've personally not heard of this exchange and it's probably not a reputable one, but you are banking on the hope that thier image means more to them that the amount stolen.
All these would only matter if it's just one member of the staff trying to screw you over. If it's the whole company and they are going for an exit scam, it is unlikely they would even respond to public call outs. In this case, there is little you can do as cryptocurrencies are vastly unregulated, you can try seeking legal advice however.

There's a big possibility the entry you saw in you wallet were just figures and the ETH has been moved a long time ago.

If I posted to wrong thread, please forward it to appropriate ones.
The Scam accusation board would be more appropriate.
But here is also not a bad place to post this, as you mostly need advice on what to do and it would also help newbies reading this;
• Not your keys; not your coins,
• Avoid online wallets,
• Exchanges do not double as wallets, move your funds to a secure non custodian wallet for storage.
