If you have truly confirmed that your wallet was hacked, the best you can dfo is to forget about that wallet. Do not use it again. If you cannot afford to by hardware wallet,you can download the extension of metamast.

It's quite unfortunate that you're fell victim to these hackers but I doubt there is anything else you can do to regain control of the account since there's no way you can change the private key.
To prevent in getting hacked you must not access your myetherewallet using your private key. We know that there's so many phising site that can steal our private key and maybe like what happened on myetherwallet website the DNS hacking. You can use your json file to login or use metamask wallet for more secure way accessing your wallet.
If you pay attention to the certificate and visit the right website you will be fine.

Sorry dude but when anyone happens to get access to your private keys, it's a game over, that's one of the down sides of cryptos, you just have to make another wallet and secure it better this time, I will suggest you use my cryptos new desktop wallet.
Mycrypto or MEW is basically the same, if you want to securely use both, make offline wallet by using their given source code in the github, it's way better than accessing it online so that you won't get phished into someone else's website giving away your private key.
Otherwise if you want a real security measure just buy hardware wallet instead and if you want an absolute security over your asset especially if you want to hold it for a long time, buy a mini pc and install wallet inside it, import privkey and never connect it to internet until you will spend the asset inside.
Sound advise, just use metamask for added security when sending ETH and other token. Also, do not open links that contains suspicious script or urls. Phishing is rampant nowadays. You can also add the EtheredressLookup extensions if you are using chrome.

The only way for you to be hacked if you are using a mew wallet is to recklessly reveal your self on a phishing site, because most of the airdrops today are just scam and it is one of the way for you to get hacked.
Every post like this hurts me and I feel fear that is I secure enough, My all hard working's money is okay? I feel very sorry for your loss but you can't control anymore your wallet. I mean you can't back your coins but you can log in in your wallet and you may move hacker's left coin to another secure wallet. Do not use Myetherwallet, please. This is shitting. People's MEW keeps getting hacked in the last few weeks. We have to take our security very serious so we don't have this re-occuring from time to time. Best thing to do is create a new wallet and be more security conscious.the hacked wallet ain't secured any longer.
Just because your private key can not be hacked. Most likely it was hacked the place where he was kept. Now there's nothing to be done. Create a new purse and keep the private key out of reach of others.

Security is a very serious issue now a day. I think that you have done something wrong with your private key as to hack private key is really impossible here. It can be happened that you have shared your private key with other or you have given your key in any site out of mistake. So be careful when using private key.
