Probably horror. I don't get it why Harry Potter is so famous, it sucks.
Post Apocalyptic books are my favorites. I love everything post apocalyptic! Games, books, movies etc. But there aren't many post apocalyptic things 
Adventure seems to be the only genre that can keep me going on large books (200+ pages)

What no mention of picture books? Sometimes you don't need words, just the enjoyment of holding a book with your kids and flipping the pages while they ooh and ahhh at the pictures.
i'll go for Fantasy, Adventure and Thriller.
Fantasy. Would love to get into SF, but I've bounced off virtually every one I've tried with Dune being the exception.

Of course my favourite book type is mystery thriller in the sci-fi world, no doubt about that. BTW what genre is 'poor'? It is a book about poverty? Or poorly written book? I am confused.
I love Action and Adventure books.
Conspiracy fiction, Thriller, Detective fiction, Mystery. But i checked the suitable options with that.
