I got my first Bitcoin just by joining signature campaigns as one of the perks of being a member on this Bitcointalk forum founded by the legendary Satoshi Nakamoto. I also purchased small fractions and even tried mining but unfortunately did not work due to the increasing difficulty and lack of profit in mining.

For me earning Bitcoin through signature campaigns was more convenient and simple. You just need to qualify to the campaign requirements and dedicate your time and effort creating constructive posts to get paid on a weekly basis.

For now, since I have not met the minimum required merits earned for the last 120 days, I am still able to earn through altcoin bounties. But as soon as I got that required merit I will surely apply to Bitcoin paying campaigns.

I encountered and got fractions of Bitcoin before diving myself into Altcoins. This forum really helps me and my family a lot. I learn and earn at the same time which is a perfect combination for me.

How about you guys, did you earn your first Bitcoin through services here on this forum? Are you mining or you bought it as well? Which crypto came to you first, is it Bitcoin or Altcoins? What are your Bitcoin source at the moment if you don't mind me asking?

My story is bit different I remember i earned my first bitcoin by joining a bounty campaign, i was giving translation services to different crypto projects and also i was written blogs and articles. So the collective reward of translation and article campaign made my very first bitcoin.

I earn my first Bitcoin by joining in a signature camping. It's too much matter of joy for me because that's my first earned Bitcoin. My join signiture campus is bigvest and I received something $8 at first week the manager is Brainbosss. I know the amount is not too much big but that's my first and too much valuable for me.

I know my rank is too much low to get signature and but Brainbosss give me opportunity to be a part of bigvest signature. It's a like a dream to get BTC payment in  member rank. Many have merit more then me me but I don't know why Brainboss selected me for this campaign but it's too much matter of joy for me to get first BTC payment by doing signiture camping. Maybe that's the start of my forum journey and thank you very much brainboss for make me a part of bigvest camping.

Congratulations for your first earning and yes we are similar because Ill earn my first Bitcoin through signature campaign and maybe most of us here will the same as ours. Like what you said OP this forum is a perfect combination cause while your learning a lot of things about Bitcoin then you can earn Bitcoins too.
I didn't try yet in mining but what I heard from my friend is that mining nowadays  is not like before cause now is it takes more time and effort cause there are a lot of miners doing so.

It is not the fact that more miners are participating that makes bitcoin mining more difficult, but simply the deflationary nature of bitcoin that we commonly refer to as halving. Not to mention energy prices have increased since inflation occurred, so mining will be very difficult without a large capital source to start. Mining is still a very profitable segment but requires a large amount of capital and not everyone can participate and maintain it.

The signature campaign is an alternative for users who don't have enough money to buy Bitcoin. Everyone will be very grateful to Satoshi who founded the Bitcointalk forum because they can get Bitcoin easily. Many users can get their first Bitcoin from the signature campaign, they only need to complete the requirements in the campaign to receive payment in the form of Bitcoin. This is one of the advantages of the forum, apart from being able to gain extensive knowledge about Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, you can also get Bitcoin without having to buy it.

My initial encounter with BTC? It was through a faucet, and I can't recall where that balance resides now, as I didn't pay much attention to wallet security when I first delved into Bitcoin. I've since learned to secure my BTC wallet, but it's not sufficient to recoup the fruits of my patience from my faucet endeavors. No regrets.

I still haven't accumulated 1 BTC and I'm also curious, how many people on our forum own more than 1 BTC?
Questions that need not be answered, whether due to their seeming impropriety inquiring about someone's wealth. It is wiser for us to concentrate on our own personal growth, continually upgrading our skills and enriching ourselves. Comparing ourselves to others merely saps our valuable energy and time.

Furthermore, investing always carries risks, so we should prioritize our daily needs before thinking about investing.
No matter how good investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrency is and how big the profits are, because it is unstable, never depend completely or only on it. We need to have a main job with a stable income to be able to maintain a life.
In the short term, yes, it carries risks. However, for the long term, I believe BTC will continue to exhibit a positive trend, despite occasional bearish moments; ultimately, bullish times will come. Investment is indeed not a primary, dependable source of income. In my opinion, investment serves as the most reliable form of savings. We must remain productive while saving and accumulating our assets for our golden years to ensure a comfortable retirement and avoid financial hardship in our old age.

I started my journey as a Bitcoin trader, I never really understood I could make so much money holding it. It was after a while I started building a portfolio

Everyone's life has been exchanged for something or the other, the journey has begun. So I started my life trading with little money. But today I own little money because I have faced some losses in 2022 so my portfolio has become very small. But in January 2023 I invest some amount and from there I have some profit. And now I have almost some money that I have started investing separately. I have made this investment for a long time which I can easily get huge benefits from here.

This forum has truly been a blessing to countless lives since its creation until now. Although I didn't earn my first Bitcoin here, I started as a newbie on CryptoTalk, learning and earning Bitcoin by posting and commenting. As I advanced in my crypto knowledge, I discovered Bitcointalk and decided to focus more on this forum. Honestly, things really changed for me. It not only helped me financially but also upgraded my overall understanding of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I'm proud to say that I learned most things about crypto from this forum, and now I'm a true enthusiast.
You still have plenty of time to earn bitcoins from this forum. That's great if you've found what you've been looking for all this time. And yes, we should focus on what we have found so that we can achieve our goals. And later, we will benefit from learning on this forum to pass it on to other people who may need information about bitcoin. I hope you can be a strong bitcoin holder and will not panic about what will happen to bitcoin.
Not only from this forum that we can generate Bitcoin  because there are many ways to accumulate this precious coin though indeed that Signature campaign is one of the best to gather yet there are other place.
even bounties and airdrop is a place where we can earn from altcoin and then convert into bitcoin , that can give us more of our holding.
actually that is where I also gather some of my bitcoins now, where I participated in some bounties in the past and also airdrops that gives me some low value tokens but I made to sell and bought bitcoins.

so Your journey in crypto starts in Cryptotalk? do that site still exist ? and why turns here instead of continuing in that forum?

I must say that I'm impressed that you managed to earn a full bitcoin through the signature campaigns on this forum, I see that you joined the forum back in September 2016, at that time I think 1 bitcoin was about $500-700 probably, so for sure the campaign rewards were way higher than today's. What can I say, well done, it's been a great use of your time since your reward increased its value like 5-10 times in the meantime.

I earned few satoshi doing campaigns, that's it, and I see it very unluckily I will ever be able to reach a full bitcoin now, it would take too much time.

I have an outside job and income so the majority of my bitcoin portfolio was purchased and accumulated with my salary. Participating in forum and signature campaigns is just part of my bitcoin accumulation process. But I want to agree with you two on one thing: while active on this forum, I also learned a lot of knowledge about bitcoin that other forums and social networks do not tell us. There are many useful things and knowledge from security to knowledge about bitcoin that I have never known before. I remember many years ago my portfolio was mostly altcoins and it wasn't giving good results. But in recent years, bitcoin has made up 80-90% of my portfolio, I really feel like I'm slowly changing my opinion on bitcoin the longer I stay on this forum.
Social media is filled with bots and with people trying to get you to invest in their useless projects, and if you think about then it is not surprising that those that use it to inform themselves about what happens in this market and the best moves to take are incredibly misinformed, it is only once they leave behind those sources of misinformation and look at the reality of this market when they begin to understand they we are deceived, and that bitcoin is not only the best option they have, but in some cases it is the only one that makes sense for them.

That's right, if we join the cryptocurrency community on social networks like facebook, twitter...Mostly, we will see that people only talk about altcoins, potential projects, blah..blah...we will rarely see someone mentioning bitcoin or advice to invest only in bitcoin and stay away from shitcoins. But the sad thing is that many people consider those social networks as a place to find information about the market, seeing it as a place to find hidden gems to get rich. Everyone knows about bitcoin but not too many people end up choosing it, the biggest gem in the market but no one sees it.

I managed to earn my first whole bitcoin from signature campaigns and through selling game skins/currencies. I vividly remembered that day like I was so successful — but I immediately realized that I needed more.

As for my sources for bitcoin: the signature campaign I joined, and small online businesses(not directly BTC, but I can use the fiat to buy BTC).
That was a long time ago lol. I don't see anyone ever offering bitcoin or any cryptocurrency for that matter anymore in exchange for in-game cosmetic. Even tried back then to sell some of my CS skins for bitcoin (I'd send it to them through gifting) but all that I got were people being skeptical about the validity of my offer lol. I started similarly from everyone else in this forum. Saw a bitcoin ad back when I was still big on League of Legends and from then on I found my way through this forum, eventually I got lucky enough to gather enough merit and join signature campaigns which have been the primary source of income for me when I was still a starving high-school student. It was all fun and it's a little nostalgic looking back in the days.

Wow, Congrats to you. that's nice to hear! Same on how you earned yours, I earned my first crypto coin here in bitcoin talk forum by joining signature and bounty campaign and it helps me a lot  in my financial needs while learning how the crypto market works by reading topics here. This forum serves as my stepping stone in my crypto journey wayback 2017 and as of now, I am earning from the signature campaigns. it's a quite hard to gain 1 BTC today but it depends how consistent and eager you are.
That cannot be denied, and I am also the same as you, through this forum I have learned a lot, not only my first Bitcoin which I got here, but a lot of learning that I didn't get anywhere else so that I can be what I am today, good at collecting Bitcoin/Investing or trading Bitcoin and emerging confidence for the future cannot be separated from the long process that I have gone through with my friends in this forum.

I have planned to get into altcoins mining before when Ethereum was still a PoW but I found it out that GPUs were on a craze and there's lesser supply but higher demand which turned the price higher.

I was just an optimistic guy with that before but then suddenly turned down the idea and just focus into using my other source into purchasing Bitcoin.

With other altcoins, it would be a very unwise idea but if it is ETH then I think you missed a big opportunity even though you chose to hold bitcoin as an alternative to mining ETH. It cannot be denied that a lot of altcoins are useless and scams, but that does not apply to ETH, if you became an ETH miner at that time, you would also become rich on it because its value has also increased thousands of times, not inferior to bitcoin. But anyway, bitcoin is not a bad choice.
Yeah, I truly missed that opportunity because those folks that I was with before on this idea, they continued and managed to have a decent passive income through it until the change of Pos to Pos happened.

It's okay, I was still able to collect some and was happy when I sold it at a good price. Maybe I will become financially free if I did it before but not that rich to think of.

What's done is done and changed has came to ETH, that's why holding is one of the best choice when you don't know what to do.
