Just because you used a fee higher than required minimum fee of 0.0001BTC, doesn't mean it's going to be confirm in the next block. Did you try to actually compute an estimate to the size of the transaction you made prior to sending and give a fee base on it? transaction size and fees used per byte is what makes it to confirm in either the first block found or the next one's. Could you post the transaction link, so we could evaluate the situation?

Yeah bro I feel your pain.  Some transactions are lightning-quick, others get stuck for hours sometimes.  It pisses me off most when I'm transferring coin to an exchange and want to start trading right away.  The waaaaiiiit...sucks.  I'm sure you remember the stress testing that was going on a few months ago.  It hasn't been that bad lately at least.

I have a very limited amount of free time each day:
Socially acceptable words cannot begin to describe how much the Bitcoin network has failed to perform today.

If you don't have the time to wait for a confirmation, why not use a credit card?  That's pretty quick.  Nobody is going to fault you for using an alternative to Bitcoin once in a while.

Hi all,
Based on past experience, I can predict the first one or 2 people to try to complain about this type of post, so F offf...
My first confirmation is taking way to Effing long!!!

This time, I gave more then the min. required fee, and the transaction still was ignored in a block with over 3,000 transactions.
I Love Bitcoin, but it has serious issues which need to be solved soon.

Medium/advanced Bitcoin users should always (as habit) take a look at the mempool size before sending txs.
I personally check out https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ and https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin since I always do custom fees.

How much fee did you give? How long did it take to confirm?

Hi all,

And yet you make the post anyhow?  Why bother?

so F offf...

Manners, sir.

My first confirmation is taking way to Effing long!!!

Then pay a higher transaction fee next time (but I suppose you already knew that didn't you)?

This time, I gave more then the min. required fee,

I assume you're talking about the minimum to be relayed, because there is no minimum to be guaranteed space in a block.

and the transaction still was ignored in a block with over 3,000 transactions.

Perhaps those 3,000 transactions paid a higher fee per byte than you did?

The bitcoin network has performed exactly as designed today. The fact that you are incapable of using it properly isn't proof that it's failed to perform.
