Which I think that he's doing it but for on the otherhand, there probably be minimal mentions about it as investment and other finance stuff.

Obviously I have zero idea if OP did good or bad with his seminar, but you'd be surprised how much bad presentations there are concerning Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. I've seen some that focus too much on trading/investing.

Sorry OP. I am a person who doesn't like this kind of seminar. Because in my mind it's all about a call to invest. Investments and trading under the name of Bitcoin and Blockchain technology seminar. So if you're doing the same thing I'm thinking of, I don't think it's necessary. Beware, you could be hailed when they get big profit, but you will be hunted when they have big losses.
yes, that may be true. speakers need to share their experiences with Bitcoin investment. including explaining how the risk is acceptable.

at least, some knowledge has been shared. they know Bitcoin and the development of Blockchain technology. it has been spread on social media and we can get it. but justification by experts is of course important. so that there is no distortion of information.

don't just invite people to buy Bitcoin. but teach them the risks as well. it will leave them to make their own choice to decide whether or not they want to enter.
those who attend the seminar, I think are those who have an interest in Bitcoin.

For the past months, I have seen how individuals are very much willing to go the extra mile in spreading Bitcoin awareness. It feels great to know that there is this strong initiative among certain individuals. I can still remember there is also this individual initiative somewhere in Africa where he asked permission from a church to make use of the time and the place after its services for sharing Bitcoin with the attendees. There was also this individual initiative coming from a country in Asia where he even made use of his house for Bitcoin learning sessions.

This is good. Perhaps this is even better if along with this is also the adoption of small shops and stores, whether online or not, in accepting Bitcoin payment. It would be perfect. People learn of this new currency while knowing that there are actual stores and shops that accept it as such.

Great one there, but I hope you didn't force any of those viewers and learners to invest in Bitcoin.
Bitcoin should never be forced onto people. That's what the government is for - to force you to adapt to what suits them or what they call a greater cause. People are supposed to make the switch voluntarily and naturally after learning the difference between bitcoin and traditional finance. Understanding that you need nobody else but yourself to move money to any place in the world is a powerful message. All we can do is to educate and share information about the advantages of this alternative financial system. But like satoshi himself said in a post, "if you don't understand it, I have no time to explain it to you". I am sure I got the quote wrong, but it's something like that.
Here's a quote of what exactly satoshi said.
If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

I tend to agree with you, I also did the same as what you said.
I have a neighbor that willing to learn crypto, especially Bitcoin and I saw her interest to know more and explore what Bitcoin is.  On the other hand, it's the opposite of my cousin who doesn't like to know about crypto because of the scams that he heard about.  This tory the same as the OP shared which we didn't force anyone who didn't like to learn.

It is a nice presentation of yours. You really tried for sponsoring this kind of program in your locality. At least this will encourage and give awareness to a lot of people and through this program many will join and invest on bitcoin and it will make the bitcoin community more popular and increase the number. Well done.
More people keeps trying and doing the best to support the spread about bitcoin. In specific most of them are good in giving better awareness about the market and how to have things secure not fall to scammers. Looks like the widespread is happening around African countries is large scale compared to the rest of the world. Hope the small efforts will help with better outcomes.

I don't know why others don't think that this is a good idea. It takes time, bravery and encouragement someone to have his initiative to do such activities like this, a seminar.

He's just spreading awareness and helping people to be educated about bitcoin. And that's the good thing there, it's not just all about bitcoin as an investment, he also mentioned bitcoin adoption for which it could be the part of why bitcoin has been made, the main purpose of it which is as a payment.

Keep it up Bushdark, well done mate.

In general, it's good. But it will totally depend on how the person presents Bitcoin. It's great if the person focuses more on the actual uses and importance of Bitcoin, while it can be very bad if the person focused on making money and stuff.
Which I think that he's doing it but for on the otherhand, there probably be minimal mentions about it as investment and other finance stuff.

I don't know why others don't think that this is a good idea. It takes time, bravery, and encouragement someone to have his initiative to do such activities like this, a seminar.

I guess the people who have negative thoughts about this "sponsored" seminar had experienced being trapped in a Bitcoin Seminar and at the end of the seminar is recruited by a Ponzi scheme company.  Fraud companies also sponsor Bitcoin seminars since they choose it as their "main product",  have to explain Bitcoin from the get-go and after that, the audience are encouraged to join the company's business system. Grin

The sponsored term rings a bell though.  Maybe there is possibly a company behind the seminar.  I believe @OP is just invited to conduct a seminar but the audience is catered by other people.  I may be wrong but that's what hit my mind when I read the Sponsored Bitcoin Seminar.

I was also invited to conduct a sponsored Bitcoin Seminar but I rejected it because the one that asked me is obviously running a Ponzi scheme company.  Spreading awareness about Bitcoin is great but using it for greedy purposes isn't.

I just want to make clear that I am not saying that the situation of OP is the same, I am just saying why some members are negative about the sponsored seminar.  Regardless, congratulations on your successful Bitcoin seminar @OP, I hope you never get tired of your goal of spreading Bitcoin awareness.
It does make sense when they're thinking about that but while I've read the whole thread OP did, I guess that he's doing it without the intervention of any fraud company to push him to it.

Thank you for sharing, at least me and everyone has an idea why the others are already doubtful with such seminars. Otherwise, there's no ill intention as much as I can see and initiatives like this should remain to be focused on what bitcoin really is and its use cases without any advertisement from any company.

OP thanks for reaching out to people especially starting your seminar with friends who are eager to learn what bitcoin is about. It requires lots of preparation to get such seminar in place. Many learned bitcoin users don't do such because of one thing, they're not sure people will attend. But, you took the courage regardless of whether it'll be attended by the people you invited and launched the seminar. Such an interesting event as seen on the photo should be continued, your audience are relaxed and focused to learn more. So, I would advise that the seminar be continued from time to time. Take it as your own journey in the bitcoin community and one day the number of attendees will surpass what you expected. Don't stop at your first attempt!

Remember; Unlike wealth our knowledge increase if we share it.

Great work OP for giving bitcoin anymore awareness to people in your locality through organising a seminar for them. I see how serious the people are they even came with laptop, and humility to learn about bitcoin. You must have uses some of your resources to make this seminar successful but I hope you did it for free or did you collect something little from them.

Next time, you should also let them know about how to keep their coin safe by introducing them to different type of walkets and the best to use, with this they can guarantee safety if they want to invest. You have done a good job for bitcoin adoption and I encourage you to continue like this so that more people can have bitcoin awareness. Keep the good work,it is not easy to have the gut to teach in public

Bitcoin education is not that easy because of the sacrifices it requires from doing one bit when considering giving out to enreach others about bitcoin you will discover that it's never a waste of effort in doing so because people will definitely learn from it, this same individuals will never forget the oath through which they come in by your help, remembers it also takes a follow up on every invested efforts on people in knowing that they continue in doing it the right and expected way.

Great job on the work done @OP, it is quite hard to speak in front of many people explaining Bitcoin.  It is a good thing to know that your listener got more interested in venturing the Bitcoin economy.  I bet you are a good speaker and you are able to keep the interest of people and add more flame to it.  The picture shows that listeners are ready to do hands-on practice on installing wallets and other stuff.  Did you manage to discuss how to create a wallet and the different kinds of it?  As a Bitcoin learner, I think that is one of the first fundamentals they need to know.  You can skip prices and economic achievement of Bitcoin but you shouldn't skip tutoring them on how to install a Bitcoin wallet safely and the process of sending and receiving Bitcoin.

It will be an extraordinary experience for you because you are able to present a seminar with bitcoin knowledge. It's not easy to conduct a seminar like this, it takes courage and knowledge about bitcoin. you can do it and influence the people who attend seminars to know what Bitcoin really is. this is a good start for you to continue to introduce bitcoin so that bitcoin can go towards increased adoption.
Do you also provide a question and answer session to the audience? so they can share what they want to ask about bitcoin so far.

There is also the good side of such seminars, it is called awareness. Just because you are aware of btc and its benefits doesn't mean others are. I think the important part is impacting the right knowledge about btc to those who are interested, the investment aspect is by choice, if you havr no knowledge about it, you won't even consider to invest or know how yo go about it.

Good job on the work, OP! You are doing a wonderful thing, and you have great objectives. Please update the OP as well with all your plans. Let's suggest what you can do and how to improve. Or if you need help with anything.

What's the best experience that you had doing this, OP? Or the reaction of your attendees?

I hope there would be a video available for this one ( although there are many informative videos online about the same topic), an actual seminar wherein there are participants would create a more impact. Also, this would be good for those who aspire engaging to this technology. Prevention is better than cure. If they would know what they are trying to explore, especially the risks involved, scam casualties, huge loss, and other negative impressions about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, would be surely lessen. It is a sort of breaking a stigma; Bitcoin is a gateway to get rich easily.

Not sure where you got that, OP's screenshot even has a slide on "Bitcoin is not Blockchain" (and while I might not completely agree, or might agree more with "Bitcoin is Blockchain, but not only Blockchain", I think it's pretty clear the focus is anything but speculation/investment).

OP: who was the sponsor, and what was the context of this seminar, if the turnout was massive? Who, where? =)
He probably ellaborated that phrase on the seminar itself to avoid confusion. I had the same question on my mind. Well, I think OP made sure that his informations are correct. And that is why I've mentioned that a copy of the seminar would be a great thing to have; to correct misconceptions if there are any.

a work well done I know the majority in my country that request money to have access to information about cryptocurrencies, especially trading, and the worst part is that they only give you the basics of that information, so for you to organize a seminar it shows how the youths will definitely benefit from it. The best part is that all of the information here is free, and you are portraying the same shows how kind-hearted you are. Keep up the good job.

Congratulations on this feat, and it will help more peeps who are not only ignorant but apathetic to the knowledge and usage of the coin. From what you observed as positive results from your participants, you said you noticed a willingness from them to be a part of the Bitcoin bandwagon. Might I ask, where they informed on the use of cold wallets? Because this would eliminate any fear of their coins being stolen once it has been purchased.
Exactly wallets and wallet security should be a major part of any Bitcoin education, since a lot of things have happened before e.g the FTX hack and other hacks were coin holders lost a lot of money through it, and the only set of people who are not effected where lucky to have stored the bitcoin in a cold storage.

The fact is having your own wallet with its private keys in your control should be the first primary thing, and I have ops who will update his teaching on the best bitcoin wallet and what is the purpose of the exchange, and how the exchange has imparted Bitcoin adoption and usage.

Cool, you did a good job by presenting this seminar. Many of them thinking it’s not needed but I believe it’s indeed needed in the region where bitcoin outreach is not that strong and peeps really need to hear about it from someone trusted. For this, definitely we need local hero’s like you who can keep spreading the good lessons about it.

You had courage to arrange sponsored seminar like this, go in front of those peeps and teach about it.

You can create your own lessons from trusted sources, have modules for step by step teaching. :-)

Good luck mate. Congratulations.
