Hi guys, please tell me my plan is terrible.
I have gathered that Mina and eco are two solid projects based on my research and general sentiment and also analyst opinion.

I have never participated in an ICO. I figure this is the best way to get in early.

How would I prepare for this ICO. I hear they sell out quickly. Can someone give me a checklist or gotchas that you wish you knew your first time?

Thanks

Any sentence with the words ICO and good idea is an issue.  Do yourself a favor and stay away from any ICOs.  Yeah can some of them be profitable sure but more times than not you are just left holding the bag.

I stayed away from graph ico and lose 100x potential. In bull market ico will rise, in bear you will lose $

Mina seem to be rated quite high by many people with their lightweight blockchain that said could revolutionize the whole blockchain thing but that's just their claim. Personally I think it's good idea as well to make the whole blockchain size as light weight as it can so not only people with handful of free disk space could sync with the blockchain but also those people who have low free disk space. However, be prepared to be dissappointed with this IEO though, the hype is high while the slot open for the investors are kinda low, so just don't set your expectation too high of buying this coin at presale or IEO.

You are free to do with your money whatever you want however you need to be very aware that a great majority of icos that you see in the market are scams, the fact that you have never participated in an ico and yet you want to invest in two different ones is simply terrible idea, my question is have you invested any money in some of the more traditional currencies that we have like bitcoin or ethereum? If you have not then that is the first step that you need to take, you are trying to run before you learn how to walk and that is never a good idea.

have participated in the casper and you must log in 1 hour before the sale to get the random ticket. That's called as queue, coinlist was using this random pick up to anticipate the massive trend for mina protocol sale.
Thats right. I wonder if you got in on any options? Try my luck on option 1 and 3 but both didn't able to enter though even I used the process they inform.

Im sure mina protocol will be a disaster again on this type as only few can enter with a slot like this. They should have make the tier very low value on participating so can accommodate more.

When you are entering the queue portal and you must wait until your ticket number will be appearing in your portal.

I do believe there will be more than 600k people will have participated in the mina token sale. That's a crazy demand as anyone wanna get in.

If you are planning to join Mina protocol ico should have prep for this week's ago as their KYC process is quite strict actually and take longer to be validated. Yeah me too gonna join this one but I am not hoping to get slot eventually as the demand for this project using coinlist platform is so intense and the competition is very tight. If you knew casper and you would know how hard it is to be able to participate on Coinlist sale.

Mina seems a good choice for your first ico as long as agree with kyc requirement on coinsbit. As per their website, Mina is bringing solutions to blockchain technology where they offer a super small size of blockchain, while others blockchain have 300gb, the entire Mina blockchain will have only 22kb ( https://minaprotocol.com/ )
For, eco, never heard it before to be honest.

All you need to do before joining an ico is to do some research about the project; the team behind it, the technologies, clear roadmap, partnership etc. Don't jump to ico just because someone said it's good.

On which launchpad they are going to be launched?

It will be launched on coinlist and i think that you are not familiar with this one, right? IDO is only giving small spots to the investors and all of the shares were going for the major backers. it's not worth wasting our time in IDO.
coinlist is far better than IDO.
So many major projects were coming from the coinlist launchpad.

If it is backed by Coinbase, then that will makes it a good deal as there is a guaranteed to be listed on one of the top exchanges. Look at the team competency and there Git HUB for development progress. Just do your own research before you commit your capital

Umm both of them is the most anticipated ICO currently, Eco Backed by some big entities like a16z, Coinbase, etc and it's i suppose it's little bit hard to even buy the token on Public Sale same with Mina i suppose, it's Offering an unique concept with faster Network. From my perspective both of them will sold under 10-15 Minutes or even less, If you are asking me is that a good Idea to join Both, The answer is Yes! but don't expect so much, DYOR!

On which launchpad they are going to be launched? If in any popular exchange, I guess it won't exist more than a minute; probably less than a minute. That's IEO though.
On the other hand, ICO holding on project website have hard times to collect the softcap and hardcap. People have lost interest due to the scam ratio of ICO.
Nevertheless, I would recommend you to get in with the trend. IDO is the latest trend and IDO on polkastarter are having great ROI. You can try with but that needs to hold 3k POLS in your wallet to be eligible to participate in the IDO.

Both will be sold out within less than 3 minutes.

Eco is only available for US continents and that makes the only people from US will able to join.

Mina is also a very good project. The only problem is you need to be luckiest person to join in the sale dude. You will compete with a few hundreds thousand of people in the queue list.

So I checked some few details with Mina project here.

https://cryptorank.io/ico/mina-protocol

During their seed round, they sold per Mina at $0.07 while their pre-sale price was sold at $0.15.
Now, they will be doing community sale priced at $0.25.
Though they will be unlocking over the period of 18 months. Still if you are a buyer of this upcoming comm sale, you need to be careful as the earliest buyers bought it at a cheap price.
They can even sell it at $0.20 and still earn profit. But if you do believe the potential of Mina, why not?
As the OP stated, he already did his research. So you already know what you are up to here.
And by the way, browse their wp, and it is a very technical one. So they really did put their effort into this project.

ECO, also is somewhat promising if you are talking about this project - https://www.eco.com/
But you need to dig more about their capabilities and plans. It says, they already received $35M.
Most good ICO projects before were also abandoned after raising high amount of money.

It's been so long that most of the investors have stopped ICO, they're no longer a thing today but if that becomes successful, the only piece of advise is to take your profit as quick as you can when it's already on the exchanges they've promised to be listed.
Most of the investors and devs would take cash from it because that's the usual thing that happens.

First of all you should pass KYC procedure on Coinlist, it is required. In case you have done it, so it is good, because it will be very soon, in a couple of days.
