Most of the comments here are here to massage egos rather than think rationally about each currency.

DOGE hashrate, LTC hashrate both equal one thing: blockchain security.  it doesn't make a difference whether people mine one or the other.

regardless of what DOGE thinks of LTC, or LTC thinks of DOGE both currencies are stronger if they merge.

Charles Lee made a proposal to the main DOGE dev. He declined to do mergemine. lol

I know.  this shows the DOGE dev doesn't appreciate the long term benefits to DOGE, esp. when most of the mining will be complete in 8 months. merge mining is a win-win, not a marginalisation of one coin for another.  it sounds more like a pissing contest rather than seriously considering the blockchain and network hashrate.

all of the paranoid talk about LTC miners dumping DOGE are overstated:  100 billion doge will be fully mined by jan 2015, so there really isn't that much time left to mine/dump a lot of doge.  the developers of doge should be planning a transition in the doge mining economy when mining transitions from coin production to purely transaction fees.

it will be interesting how doge plans to incentivise miners to secure the blockchain after 100b doge is done.  there is a marginal inflation rate, but there aren't enough coins at current prices to justify all that hashrate for 5b coins/year.  asics will get better, and currency will fluctuate so who knows what the cost-benefit will look like in a year.  but the one thing we do know is simply merge mining doesn't turn DOGE into LTC's bitch.

Agreed.
He should be concerned about Doge miners dumping doggie bags.

Dude, nice post!  Do you have any SHA gear?  If so, come help us mine Benjamins in the 1776 spirit.

Hey but also I am a believer in the scrypt blockchains I have LTC there is enough GDP to bring a dozen coins up to 1000 billion market cap when fiat collapses.  I hold at least 20 different altcoins (tho I mine soley Benjamins on faith and spirit) because I know that when fiat goes flammable, essentially all crypto is linked to bullion.

LTC thanks for your efforts, I only recently downloaded the wallet it took 24 hrs but in Benjamins mining country we think long term, steam trains would be future fantasy for us, so fast they would go.

Anyway you got some classic rants and are 99% right I feel bad that doge was used somehwat like candy crush is the same thing imo, except one is an addictive game suckering TV viewers in for credit card bills, and the other was a waste of hashes, in terms of being so very stupid yet funny, as you say, in a juvenile way.  But still even in a flattened state, doge makes a nice burrito if people want to use a million proofs to buy lunch or whatever.  The price of doge can go as low as the founders want and what have they done?  Made a burrito form themselves from the flattened price, and soured lots of people on mining.  So yes LTC crew, stick to your hashins.  But if you can send some of your old crappy SHA gear hashes to Benjamins, we would be grateful and can barter such items as chickens and so forth, because 1776 is some antique slow moving shit.

Anyway, great rant!  LTC FTW [insert meme here]

ya what i was wondering.. what happened ? nothing right ?

i think Doge is useless irritating cancerous garbage and we should let it die and join the other shit coins that faded into history..

why the hell should the respected Litecoin be in anyway associated with scammy piece of shit joke coin ?
a coin that was trolling on crypto and i can pretty well guarantee 1 of 100 coins the guy uploaded using different names
hoping one of them would get popular enough to pump and dump.. and he struck pay dirt simply because 'November Noobs' piled in to flash mine it..
and they were mostly little kids that like shit like Windows 8, social media sites, Reddit and 4chan etc.. there is no age limit in crypto. lol

i find it offensive anyone would take that piece of shit coin seriously when other people have gone to the trouble to try making a coin
with some level of credibility, creativity or advancement.. it's simply ridiculous a coin like Gridcoin or Prime coin is 100% ignored in the media
while garbage pyramid scams fronted by manipulative greedy adults and legions of lippy dumb brats are pushed on to the world stage.

the whole community bullshit is facade engineered to prop up and legitimize a ponzi scheme of sorts..
and proof of this is in the context of the coins release.. the environment in which it was released and who it was targeted at..
kids.. scammers.. flash miners.. posted in a sea of worthless shit in the ANN section surrounded by 1,000 other scam coins.
and this so called community as i said ages ago will run when mining profitability becomes on par with other coins
and that is precisely what i called to the day on my sig topic and sure enough since the graph on the charts at exchanges have tanked straight down like i said
interest has died off big time and i have seen a lot of people even admit they changed their mind and came to their senses about Doge..

Like hey lets have fun and play games and act like morons and clowns but at the end of the day do you really want to be heavily invested
in what was intended to be from the beggining nothing but a joke by a mass coin cloner ? ..i sure as hell do not !
So expect more and more people to pull out of Doge and drop it hard.. like i said all along as 99.99% of all of you out there flamed me to death about lol

read my Sig topic Wink

The litecoin team should shut up and not even mention that piece of shit clone coin again !
If they want their Doge scam coin to succeed then they can do the work themselves and not piggy back on Litecoin's successes..

ok Einstein  Roll Eyes u'd think you'd atleast google the def of what a ponzi actually is before mouthing off. ponzi seems to be pretty much the most misused term on this forum.

Yea, the correct word would probably be pyramid, which most currencies resemble whether it's crypto, paper, gold, or tulips.  Due to the way proof of stake works, with PoW and stake difficulty being intertwined on coins, I believe I did make a convincing argument the Hobonickel could technically be considered a Ponzi, while most other units of exchange fall under pyramid.

Some of us mined more than 500,000+ of below $1.00 and still have them.

$10.00 doesn't look bad to me.

$10.00 looks bad to noobs and amateurs lacking faith, vision and balls.

~BCX~

if you mined even 10k and sold when it hit 40$ that would be a life changer, or atleast i know it would for me

AND I HIGHLY DOUBT ANYONE MINDED 500K ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Apparently everyone that happened to mine a coin at the beginning is a "insta-mine" coin scam.

Artforz and bcx were the first miners with gpus on litecoin, both had monster farms back in the day. Artforz and his pals bcx, locust, coblee all had gpu miners a week before anyone else. Some of the dirty little ltc secrets very few know. its in the threads here if you dig around enough. I don't doubt for a second bcx has that many or more. Mining that many when the diff was like 2 with 60-70 mhs adds up really quickly.

dirty little ltc secrets...
Early-mine scam coin?

Apparently everyone that happened to mine a coin at the beginning is a "insta-mine" coin scam.

Jealous people will never stop spreading hate. Smiley

Happened to mine a coin does not equal being part of a small group with an unfair advantage.
Did you even read the related info in this thread?
