Good day, everyone.

I recently joined the Bitcointalk platform a few days ago and have been enjoying my stay so far due to the numerous posts and ideas shared by thousands of knowledgeable individuals. To me, there is a better feeling when reading through people's text rather than yours.

I've been working under someone for a while now, but I feel the need to have another source of financial independence. Not sure where to start, but cryptocurrency happens to be at the top of my research.

During my further research, I came across Bitcointalk, which turned out to be a discussion website for Bitcoin related matters.

I'm still not too familiar with how things work here, but I've read several rules and regulations for beginners. One of them happens to be an optional introductory post, which I just did. I've also learned about how the merits system works, the Trust list, General thread, etc. I don't know if there are any other hidden ones.

In my research to learn more about cryptocurrency and from the discussions I have come across on this platform, I noticed that Bitcoin happens to be the center of focus. No matter the crypto we are talking about, it is somehow traced back to Bitcoin. Is it because Bitcoin's price is more massive?.

What happens when I make a similar post or ask a question that I probably couldn't find earlier but has been on the forum?.

In addition, how do give answers to several people without making single reply each ?. I think it's more organize.

I really hope to keep learning from everyone, as I believe that no knowledge is wasted. I would appreciate answers to those questions with question marks, and I will also ask questions frequently.  Huh

I'm not sure if my writing meets the standard here, which I hope it does.

First you are highly welcome to the forum ( bitcointalk) and just as the name implies, this is where we talk and discuss about bitcoin and any other things that has to do with cryptocurrency. Just as one the commenter said, you started 3 days ago and you, understanding all these things you mentioned here means you are really good and it is interesting and impressive, keep up it is really good. The answer to your second question is that you will have to search in the board you want to make the post if there's something like that before you post because if you do anything ignorantly they will aslo handle your case ignorantly so avoid it. However, you can't answer everyone's post one by one, that will be very stressful and time wasting and I don't think it's necessary.

First of all, I welcome you to this forum.

Good to see your enthusiasm so that you can be updated every moment. As many people above have given you very good instructions, I would also like to say that you should read the rules and regulations on this forum carefully to avoid negative tags or getting banned. Never make useless posts and unnecessary comments to gain merit as such posts and comments will make you look bad.

The first priority of all newbies here should be learning and not trying to get merit, when you learn something, you automatically get what you deserve.
It is hoped that you will continue to be present on this forum with enthusiasm and learn and grow with everyone else here.

Good luck.

What happens when I make a similar post or ask a question that I probably couldn't find earlier but has been on the forum?.
Someone may rant on you and that's probably the worst that may happen. On the other hand you may show that you've not put enough effort in prior search and research. It takes some practice and multiple tries to properly find and evaluate existing questions and answers in this forum. Don't give up and practice, practice, practice.  Wink

May I suggest to try also https://ninjastic.space/search to search content of this forum? I particularly like that you can easily hide unwanted threads/topics in your search hits there.

In addition, how do give answers to several people without making single reply each ?. I think it's more organize.
Multiple consecutive posts in short time frames by same poster are prohibited by forum rule #32 (in conjunction with rule #13) and frankly it's not necessary at all. People who post multiple consecutive replies to address multiple other posters are simply lazy and ignorant to use the forum properly

Someone else here already showed you where to find the Insert Quote links in the Topic Summary below the post edit box with which you can insert quotes of approx. the 20 last recent replies of a thread at the cursor position in your own reply.

13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours per thread. Bumping multiple threads at the same time is allowed if it's not annoying. [2][e]
...
32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

All you need to know is in its forum and you can also take help from google. Because there is a complete data record, you will gain as much knowledge as possible, which will benefit you for the future. Gaining knowledge is not a loss but a gain, especially when it comes to cryptocurrencies it is possible to benefit the most.

I will be dedicating a lot of my time to reading about Bitcoin on this forum. What I learn will likely be shared in brief posts with many questions for you and everyone else to help me answer. I guess my adventure to learn about Bitcoin has just started.
I’m not a fan of introductory posts by newcomers because of the way newbies ignore the suggestions in the thread and move on to doing what they like. But you, OP have been active in your thread, newbies like you learn very fast and are very much appreciated by the community. You don’t have to make a separate thread to ask every question, you can use the forum search engine or google with bitcointalk added in your search.

Welcome to the amazing world for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. On this forum you'll get in depth information about Bitcoin and somewhat good information about other major crypto currencies. I suggest you to begin learning deeply about Bitcoin and once you learn enough information, then continue sharing your knowledge with good discussions.

I always give newbies the advice to read posts at Bitcoin Discussion, Speculation, and  Beginners & Help boards because in those boards there are so many good posts/threads that could be very valuable for new users of the forum. I recommend you to also read discussions at those boards and trust me you'll learn enough about Bitcoin by reading posts at those boards.

Welcome to bitcointalk platform. Be rest assured that you are on the right place. As a newbie, I know your curiosity is at the highest peak to know more about this platform. As the sayings goes, "the more you ask, the more you know" and indeed no question is stupid because it is only when you ask you will gain more knowledge and experience.

I look forward to working with your guidelines.

I believe you understood the points I was trying to make. All guidelines as earlier stated can be cited from the forum policies which if you read through all threads you will see them for yourself. What you just have to do is to understand them and follow them accordingly. There is nothing too big there that would make you be wanting of any offense here.  Just as I have reiterated asking questions would always put you on the right path making you more knowledgeable about the system and platform and how things works here. You would enjoy your stay here as time goes on.

First of all, welcome to this forum.
I haven't been here for a long time when I joined this forum. I probably didn't know much about Bitcoin and other things. I got to learn a lot from here. The senior people here are much wiser and more knowledgeable than us. All the people here are very cooperative and encourage each other. Especially the newbies are very welcome. If it is given, it starts getting answers immediately or many things that are going on in our mind already have topics here where enough people have given their opinion about it. Also, things become very easy to understand.

When I was here I was guided to firstly read the rules and regulations and also don't post the same thing, be more active, don't do bot reading.
Also, lots of good bits of advice have worked for me till now I have learned a lot from here I hope you too will not be left behind after joining this forum and will not waste your precious time. You will also learn a lot more from here and when you leave here, you will have learned enough to be able to teach others.

If i may get you correctly from here, you're here because you needed a financial alternate means, i may not have to argue any thing about this with you, but you should only understand that the reason for the creation of this forum is to discuss about bitcoin, every other benefits may comes in for you to enjoy only when you understand this purpose and have an idea on what to give as quality contribution after you must have experienced a spontaneous learning ground.

I'm not quite sure if that's the angle I was approaching from, but if earning from this forum is possible, would you mind sharing the criteria and things I need to do? My major aim was to find an alternative to my usual job, and crypto investment was what I could possibly conclude with. Though I didn't go into details about what I want to achieve, I emphasized learning from everyone on this forum, including you. I need to gain the necessary knowledge and understand how things work before investing what I have. As time goes by, I hope to keep learning and also asking questions about things that are unclear to me.

Welcome to bitcointalk platform. Be rest assured that you are on the right place. As a newbie, I know your curiosity is at the highest peak to know more about this platform. Welcome to bitcointalk. First, you should learn everything about the thing you are going to do but before that, you should learn about cryptocurrency first like bitcoin about how it works and also how to tighten your security to avoid losing money from scammers. Since you are new, knowing about the forum is also a must since there's a forum rules here that we should follow. There are some people who didn't know about the forum rules because they are lazy to check it and later on got banned or getting negative trust from DT members.

From your OP, I see that you are a good researcher and you will be very much active and doing well here. You should not just depend on asking questions but also further do your research here as well. Take your time to go through the boards and threads one after the other, read and understand them properly and if there is you are not clear with, you can ask your questions here for clarity.
With respect to replying of posts, you do not need to reply them one after the other, you just have to quote reply all the comments one after the other and reply them one for one each of it requires you to do so.  I believe some members have illustrated that for you to see.

Lastly, abide by forum policies while you remain here. If you must copy paste here, you must do well to reference where you copied from as the platform frowns at plagiarism and it is punishable here likewise the use of AI to write here. It is against the forum standard. I believe this little tips would guide you while you remain here.

First of all, I will like to welcome you to this forum and hope you utilize the opportunity to equip yourself with the knowledge being shared here on daily basis. The first thing you need to know are the basic rules. Your account was registered 3 days ago and I wonder how you said you're already familiar with the rules including the merits system and trust system, you must be fast learner I guess.
Welcome to bitcointalk forum!

Thank you for your warm welcome. I haven't mastered all the rules completely, but with the ones I have read, it's important for me to retain them since I will be here for a long time.

That is cause this is Bitcoin-talk forum. It was founded by the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi.

There is a section dedicated to altcoins, but any other section was designed for discussions centered around Bitcoin.

Thanks for the brief explanation. This forum must have been active for a very long time now because I recently read that Satoshi started the whole Bitcoin thing around 2009. There are really lots of things for me to dig out and learn. Thanks again.

Welcome to the forum Felicity_Tide. You took your time to write a good first post and meet all standards, and that's not very usual. I hope to read you here on a regular basis from now on. I think not only that you can learn a lot here, but also that you can contribute when you gain the required knowledge and confidence to write freely.

I will be dedicating a lot of my time to reading about Bitcoin on this forum. What I learn will likely be shared in brief posts with many questions for you and everyone else to help me answer. I guess my adventure to learn about Bitcoin has just started.

Well if I must say about this forum, it's a place that is worth being with because when you understand how the forum works you will enjoy staying around here, and per your communication skill I will say there's no restrictions towards that. As far as I know, there's no limit to people sets of people who to write here or not, provided you can convey information and the rest people understand what you are saying then you are good to go. The most important is that you don't have to copy what others has already said or posted before, if possible do not copy content from other websites without putting the reference link to where you get the information from otherwise you could be tag as plagiarism or spammer.

It's simple! Firstly, you need to use the search engine to check for what you are looking for and whether similar issue is been discussed before but if you can't find any result and make a new thread but later discovered that similar thread, you should locked the thread. I believe your question must have an answer in either thread.
The forum search engine doesn't work as should
It usually doesn't show recents post and posts of certain year's.
I usually use Google to search for post while adding Bitcointalk at the end to be directly shown related post to the searched.

Quote
No matter the crypto we are talking about, it is somehow traced back to Bitcoin. Is it because Bitcoin's price is more massive?.
Bitcoin fame here is not tied to the price buts it's utility as well as the first decentralized cryptocurrency in the sense that its concept is built around making Self custody of wealth possible.
The name of the forum is proof of what is majorly talked about but doesn't mean alt discussion doesn't exist
There are boards for that.

Quote
In addition, how do give answers to several people without making single reply each ?. I think it's more organize.
Like knowngunman has explained you can use this format
Just copy the text you want to reply to the text box and select after been highlighted you can click the quote icon at the top
It has an icon that looks like a text message, located at the second to last if not including the emojis.

I understand your skepticism
It's rare like diamond rare to see a member that stumbled upon the forum without been referred or not an Alt.
Let me welcome the digital identity Felicity _Tide to the forum.

You should be aware like all investments, investing in cryptocurrency has its own risk and when you do start investing or earning
Make sure you study on safety and security of wallet
What's the essence of having money if you not the true owner or if others can access it without your permission.
Like many here I would advising trying Bitcoin first because compare to the alts it's safer.
Would try to recommend some links that can help in respect to security and privacy.
Securing Your Seed Phrase with Washers
[100 dots] seed phrase backup
Security and Privacy Encylopedia This one is quite massive
Never got to finish it yet.

There are many things you would have to learn if you really a newbie but a personal biased adviced would be
Invest and don't trade
In other words be a holder rather than a trader and never invest what you can't stand losing
Other things would be communicated to you by other users.

Good day, everyone.

I recently joined the Bitcointalk platform a few days ago and have been enjoying my stay so far due to the numerous posts and ideas shared by thousands of knowledgeable individuals. To me, there is a better feeling when reading through people's text rather than yours.
Welcome to bitcointalk forum!

I've been working under someone for a while now, but I feel the need to have another source of financial independence. Not sure where to start, but cryptocurrency happens to be at the top of my research.
Perhaps cryptocurrency happens to be one of the frequently suggested way of achieving financial freedom but the is a wide range to that. There are so many ways people achieve this, some either through trading, some through buying bitcoin and other top altcoins and holding till it gives the desired profit and many other ways.

Perhaps you will have to find out which you're of interest the most.

During my further research, I came across Bitcointalk, which turned out to be a discussion website for Bitcoin related matters.
Bitcointalk forum is one of the most influential and traffic ground for bitcoin and/or crypto related discussions. I'm not sure what area you are looking at in the forum but from above it seems you're much more interested in the money making from the forum, which is not necessarily bad but it's better to focus on knowledge acquisition hence it could profit you at the end. Bitcointalk forum also has a way which people make money from, e.g participating in signature campaigns, Offering of services like graphics, web development etc the forum also has bounty campaigns which is not too profiting nowadays but it's also a way of making income in the forum. You can do more research on the above mentioned to know more in details.

I'm still not too familiar with how things work here, but I've read several rules and regulations for beginners. One of them happens to be an optional introductory post, which I just did. I've also learned about how the merits system works, the Trust list, General thread, etc. I don't know if there are any other hidden ones.
Perhaps you have read the essentials of the forum, you will have to learn the unofficial rules or things that are frown upon in the forum along the line during your stay. You can also look at this board there are several pinned threads it also contains important things which you need to know. Aside this I will advise you not to use (AI) artificial intelligence to post on the forum it's highly prohibited.

In my research to learn more about cryptocurrency and from the discussions I have come across on this platform, I noticed that Bitcoin happens to be the center of focus. No matter the crypto we are talking about, it is somehow traced back to Bitcoin. Is it because Bitcoin's price is more massive?.
Yes, bitcoin happens to the first and father of every other cryptocurrency you see out there. They are all alternatives to bitcoin which means they are just there to take some space in the industry where bitcoin might not necessarily be because of it's potential. Bitcoin is the most expensive, important, and influential cryptocurrency every other cryptocurrencies (altcoins and shitcoins) depends on it for there price movement. It's more like the backbone of all cryptocurrency.

What happens when I make a similar post or ask a question that I probably couldn't find earlier but has been on the forum?.
Perhaps, most people only gwt pissed that some questions are frequently repeated aside that there is absolutely nothing wrong in asking questions as long as they are genuine questions.

In addition, how do give answers to several people without making single reply each ?. I think it's more organize.
If this has to do with a particular thread, then the quote button is the right spot to reply each person in one single post.

You also have the option of "insert post" while replying to another person's post which makes it more easier for you to do at once.
below is a screenshot

I really hope to keep learning from everyone, as I believe that no knowledge is wasted. I would appreciate answers to those questions with question marks, and I will also ask questions frequently.  Huh
it's a pleasure to keep responding to the needs of others hence answering you wouldn't be a problem after all that's why we are here!

I'm not sure if my writing meets the standard here, which I hope it does.
The standards are subjective, so it's up to whomever to judge from there perspective.

The reason why bitcoin still remains the center of discussion and popularly refer to king of cryptocurrency is because it's the first (not really) and most widely adopted coin as far as digital currency is concerned. And yes, the price makes it more attractive that it overshadowed the rest. Secondly, this forum is purposely created for bitcoin discussion and it's very obvious from its name. Although, there are sections for other discussion too.

Take a good look at this my post and you will discover that I break your posts into different segments and reply specifically. It's the same way you can qoute as many people as possible and reply to everyone in a single post.

Quote

Of course, you can ask questions frequently provided they are not unnecessary questions like how do I earn merit or such kind of questions. This forum has been in existence for long and most questions regarding to bitcoin, wallet and other crypto related issues have been discussed. If you use the search engine probably you can definitely find them. If you can not find suitable answers or you need more clarification, you can bring it on for discussion.

There's no standard of writing here as this is a global community comprises of both English and non English speakers. The important thing is to communicate in an understandable manner.
