Ryan Zhou has abandoned NameTerrific (https://www.nameterrific.com) apparently since late 2013. He no longer attend to any support request sent to NameTerrific. Neither is he responding to emails sent to him separately in regards to NameTerrific.

See reports from other users here:

2) https://www.facebook.com/nameterrific
3) https://twitter.com/search?q=nameterrific

One of my domains is registered with NameTerrific as well and I haven't been able to transfer my domain out to a proper registrar as NameTerrific does not respond to my auth code request. I had previously registered my domain with NameTerrific as he accepts bitcoins.

Do not consider registering your domain with NameTerrific. You have been warned.

Don't send me a pm unless you gpg encrypt it.
In ZT's defence were these emails not bitcoinica related with nameterrific links ?

If they were bitcoinica emails but he quit from bitcoinica, which means he shouldn't still be using bitcoinica data.  In addition, if they are bitcoinica emails, they shouldn't have been soliciting my business for a new and unrelated business.  I never opted into 3rd party marketing.

I reported your bitcoinica email as a violation of the US CANSPAM Act.  It is against the law to send unsolicited messages without permission when a business relationship does not exist..

NameTerrific's Bitcoin payment is now automated. I have updated the OP.

Nice!   Looks to be about a 10% or more discount for paying with Bitcoin.   At the current exchange rate I was quoted 1.2 BTC, which is about 12.5% below the $12 USD price, using Mt. Gox last.

One bit of feedack -- during the checkout process I filled out the profile but the Company was mandatory.  The instructions say to use your name if not a company.   If you are asking for display name, then use the field title display name.  But titling a field Company when no company exists feels wrong.  I don't know how other registrars handle it.  I've always left the field blank for domains I own personally-

Also, after entering my profile, I didn't know what to do next ... I believe showing a link that goes to the cart would have helped.

Yes, we deliberately offer a significant discount for Bitcoin users (because we would save on the transaction fees and chargeback risks anyway). I believe that it's one of cheapest Bitcoin registrars available.

Thanks for the feedback! The WHOIS standard requires an "Organization" name, and in case of an individual, it's simply the person's name. I will consider changing it to something similar to "Displayed Name" while still maintaining the clarity. Thanks!

TLD                        Price (per year)                   Description
xxx$100.00

Last time I checked, xxx was not a TLD.

Edit: I checked again, and it is. Must be fairly recent, then. I apologize.

If you want to order a domain by Bitcoin. Just generate an invoice, and then PM me with your invoice number. I'll give you a Bitcoin address for you to pay. :-D

I am happy to now share that I purchased ciyam.org thanks to NameTerrific and Zhou's help.

Funny logic. To not pay with PayPal you must click "Pay with Paypal" to be able to access "Don't have a Paypal account", which when clicked doesn't give you any option at all, but takes you to Paypal.

rjk already suggested Bit-Pay so I won't.

I have already developed the whole credit card billing system, but I don't have a merchant at the moment (minor can't apply).

I will probably build another site for Bitcoin payments, so that the banks won't mind.

Just click "Pay with PayPal" and then click the "Don't have PayPal account?" option below the login box.

Hmm... perhaps it is because the system has already created the Invoice and already knows me (when I go to it I am already logged in) but if I click "Pay with PayPal" then just just takes me to PayPal (only option there is to cancel and return).

Sad

I have started working on another project (not Bitcoin-related) that is going to make a little difference on the Internet

the best way to be known in the Internet industry is to build products that save people time, money and headaches.

is this that project?

Yes, I have started working on NameTerrific since late March.

So it took you 8x longer to make NameTerrific than Bitcoinica?

About 3x, I guess. I still need to study and handle Bitcoinica stuff during the last two months. Interacting with the legacy system used by registrars is very hard. A lot of exception handling and debugging (and eNom's test system always fails).

Well, you don't have to reopen your PayPal account. Just choose "Don't have a PayPal account" and you can use your credit card directly.

Hmm... well I guess the "Don't have a PayPal account" must be hiding somewhere I can't find (although I have already provided my CC details).

Can you tell me which link I need to click on to find this option?

I'm adding Google Checkout soon. (It doesn't support Australia, sigh...) The merchant account will be slow (possibly in August).

Or sure, I will email you when my merchant account is ready.

Thanks - appreciated.
