I, too believe that ethereum has a big potential but bypassing bitcoin is impossible for me because btc is already known to many countries, which some of these countries still do not acknowledge eth as mode of payment to some services.

I think the currency created by vitalik buterin with his friend in 2013 and most likely will rise, in 2018 this bitcoin price down eth will be the second alternative way, for the bitcoiner although eth can not compete with bitcoin but eth now has a pretty good price to be invested in the year 2018.

During the recent dip, ETH price even a little come up, all altcoins and BTC holders lose funds but ETH holders still have profit. So i think that ETH will reach BTC price this year. right, now ethereum is getting more popular than other altcoins, even I also invest in ethereum, of course I hope ethereum prices will increase.but I'm not as thoughtful as you, even though ethereum is getting popular, I don't think the price will be the same as bitcoin, but it will remain under bitcoin.

Ethereum is widely known as a platform used by many ICOs to develop their tokens. Ethereum is used more in ICOs investment, so the value of Ethereum is increasing. But Ethereum cannot beat Bitcoin regarding hotness. Actually Ethereum does not have any chance of overcoming Bitcoin.

In my opinion, buying it for investment for a long time is not the best idea.Please remember that the crypto mark is still too volatile and unpredictable. That's why this is very normal that Ethereum depends on bitcoin price like the other altcoins. But I think this will be changed when the number of the specific use cases of Etherum network grows. I see no reason against this.

I do not share your optimism. The price for Ethereum fell very heavily in relation to the price of Bitcoin. But nevertheless, I am sure that this year Ethereum will update its maximum. But this requires a high market capitalization. If there is no new money, there will be no price growth. 
Everything goes to the fact that the broadcast will bypass bitcoin and will take the first place among the crypto currency. However, I doubt that this will happen this year. In 2-3 years maybe.
eth in my opinion is my dream coin ,, something so interesting when reviewing this coin, its incredible growth ,, and I hope it will continue to grow rapidly ,, with a wide audience and well received in the market 
Ether is the best coin to invest now there is lots of successful ICO already implemented on ethereum blockchain its already running well . Lots of ICO's are coming based on ethereum blockchain . And also may be casper POS will be implemented in ethereum blockchain . Once it implemented staking will be more because minimum 1000 ether required to get staking reward. So there will be more stake holders.
Yes it may be the a great cryptocurrency to invest with but i don't see ethereum taking the bitcoin's place or rank in the market. Most of the ICO's blockchain system is running ethereum based, why ? because ethereum blockchain can store and generate new programming logic of a transaction simply because for future references if there will be a problem. Yes I myself am very confident that etherium will show the best quality with the help of various projects that rely on eth as payment process so it can provide an opportunity for traders to achieve future success when investing in etherium the long term.
I believe that the ethereum is the best coin for investing. It is not expensive, but the price for it will be almost twice as fast as bitcoin. If you have an ethereum you will always be with money.

ETH is indeed the best coin in the world of altcoin and that it is the top rated crypto coin and it is being used by number of traders for the sake of day trading and short term investment of money. However, bitcoin is the best coin and that ETH cannot compete with bitcoin one way or the other. Bitcoin is good at its own place but ETH is going to have a wonderful future in the days to come.
Bitcoin is still the strongest coin for both the investor and the pulse of the crypto market. People know Bitcoin more and they trust it when they invest. I believe Ethereum will rise, but I do not believe it can beat Btc.
